Did a spot of necromancy on the old thread - perhaps Mod's could kill off this one?

Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

Quite impressed with the 1/700 Dokodo LPH which is in the new MCP range. Its a snapfix but the detail is pretty good and will be interesting to see what they do with the Iowa class and Enterprise WWII carrier. However I would have liked to see them do some of the South Korean warships to go with the Dokodo, rather than going over standard WW2 fayre.

And for something that big it's not a bad price by today's standards.

Could it be a re-pop of the Monogram (?)  kit of the same pairing? If so it's pretty good, I did one for a USAF Captain some years back and really enjoyed the build.

I had one of those Drones in the scrap yard for years, must have been with one of the blackbirds I got as a kid. So, one day I thought I would put it to use, I put a tail wing from a starfighter on it, and armed it with 6 recessed AIM-120's, to be an air launched escort/interceptor drone.

Nope, they have their own kit, originally released in the mid-80s, unlike the Monogram kit
it has recessed panel lines.

Hmmm, worth thinking about then. I think I sanded and re-scribed the one I built, it took a while for sure.

Begging for a ski-jump and some AV-8Bs or F-35Bs.

And the Tagboard drone is crying out for a cockpit, even a 1/48 version scalo-rama'd to look look like one of those big MiG's.
I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

Funnily enough Aoshima, latest JMSDF kit is of one of their Tankers which includes a ski-jump and aircraft to add onto their Ise class DDH

As for the Dokodo from what I recall its not really a great basis for a carrier, Like the Japanese Shimikita class they are more landing ships with the hanger doubling as the vehicle deck & well deck. Dedicated ships like the USN, Spanish and French ships have the hanger deck above the well deck to allow the ship to be used in both modes.

Just ok a look through he 2019 Academy catalogue.  The biggest surprise for me was a new tooling of a 1/144 B-1B.  Probably a must buy... but makes me lose a bit of steam on my current build.

Here's a link with some pictures - https://www.britmodeller.com/forums/index.php?/topic/235047967-academy-catalog-2019/&tab=comments#comment-3218086

Good to see all model forums are the same.
As soon as a new mould is announced someone will always start whinging that they should be doing a slightly different variant instead/as well.

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.
