As soon as a new mould is announced someone will always start whinging that they should be doing a slightly different variant instead/as well.

The one dude wanting a 1/35th 206* instead was funny. I'd love to see Academy, or someone else, answer his wish by doing an actual 206 in full civil config rather than one of the OH-58 variants.
;D

*of course he's talking about a 206A as the 206/YOH-4A was a very different machine.

I saw an advert a couple of days ago for a 1/35 CH-64 Skycrane!

That has to be HUGE!  :o
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Yes, from ICM, & I say, if they can produce the Skycrane in 1/35, they can produce a CH-53D in 1/35, too! ;D

i am sorely tempted by the 35th skycrane,  so i can have it lifting one of the Tamiya dinos, ,  And have it as a dio based on the Jurassic Park video game  that Mrs SP has.

take off and nuke the site form orbit, nope, time for the real thing, CAM and gridfire, call special circumstances.

Hey! He and I are men of simple tastes and far from the only deviants wanting a 206B (don't let Italeri's LAPD boxing fool you, it needs work to become a JetRanger).

Oh, I get that Zac, but you know that there would be a surfeit of whinging if it was an actual JetRanger.  ;D

Are we talking basic Model 206 or the extended fuselage Model 206L?  Do the tooling right and you could probably produce kits of both without much trouble..

Very cool. I've thought about getting a couple big birds. Glad I'll have that option if the time ever comes.

I'd be happy with a 48th Longranger, as there's a pair from Airwolf I'd like to do.

I'm talking 206B but the market for LongRangers is there!

I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.
