I'd never buy one, but it does look quite nice. The markings sheet is very impressive.

Lots of minor mistakes on it though, according to those in the know on ARC. Still awaiting mine at the LHS <_<

Cybermodeler says the 1/48th F-15K Slam Eagle and the 1/72nd M977 HEMTT are due Stateside in June. I think someone said the Academy F-15's have some problems (can't remember what) but the new weapons are interesting and I really want the M977 truck, or maybe two or three.

I see Hanants have got their piggies on the new M-977 HEMTT, not too bad a price either, still....can't afford one just yet though

So what's the status of the Academy 1/72 BAC Lightning? Anyone know? The last thing I saw regarding it was a little blurb in SAMI a few months ago saying it was confirmed for 2009. Nothing on their website though....
So I got that going for me...which is nice....

I'm sure someone said it was the Trumpy one reboxed....?

I read that on here, but have also seen print sources that stated it was a new kit.

I heard it was a different kit to the Trumpy versions, but that might explain why it's dissapeared off the scope. Either that, or they want to make sure it's right after Trumpy's miss-hit?
I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

Mike Wren

it seems to have disappeared from the 2009/10 catalogue!

Don't forget Academy were without a UK importer for a good while recently.....with the high cost of their kits over here atm and no importer, its perhaps no surprise they have shelved plans for this iconic British fighter

Whilst we're talking again about Academy releases. Has anybody seen any info on the 1:72 IL2M-3 ??

Until they get a new importer, I doubt you'll see any new Academy kits in the UK.

Already sorted, check Hannants as they now have stock of most items that had not turned up over here.

Afraid not Ian and having their beautifull single seater in the stash it's one I want as well

Academy's new UK importer is Pocketbond.
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.
