There are some places on the web where you would receive death threats.

Around here you get high-fives and drinkies!

I must confess to being no fan of Axis aircraft, but this one is quite something.  Very nice!!
So I got that going for me...which is nice....

Tophe

I am interested by shapes more than colours, and I am happily surprised by the nose with spinner... Is this completely what-if or was there such a Corsair too for Realist enthusiasts? Anyway, this is very beautiful, bringing harmony to the F4U, congratulations!
Further question: in what kit did you take this spinner/propeller?
[the word "realistic" hurts my heart...]

Tophe

Well, it seems the big spinner on Corsair was made on some Super-Corsair (ask Google pictures)...

Thanks all for the compliments now on to answering the Questions
John Howing Mouse as for building models I have been doing that since oh 1976 ( yup I'm an "old fart" born 1970 oh the horror LOL ) as for bashing kits and making new stuff that started about 2 WEEKS after that :P
Tophe The spinner was a spare from a Tamiya 1/48 Pacific theater Brewster Buffalo,it came with 2. the prop was the basic Corsair kit prop with the hub "Bullet" trimmed to fit and a new backplate made from sheet styrene.
K5054NZ I'm still healing up from a couple of cracked ribs so my modeling has been going slow I figure another 2 or 3 weeks at the most :D
I hope to post more pics ASAP
"Panzer"
P.S. the Corsair markings will be going on a USN "Navalized" P-51 in USN Tricolor camouflage :ar:

Got to agree it's a beauty and the spinner makes her just "different" enough

Preaty good for a "young un"  :P

Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

Hey Rad. Whos gonna tell gary wenco (he of the Japanese sig) know about this little bueaty?

The gent in question did tell me once, that the Japanese did have a corsair, but there is no evidence to show that it ever wore meatballs or was even flown by the Japanese. He recons it wouldnt have been airworthy anyway as it was apparently washed up on a beech in Japanese held territory after ditching some were out to sea after the engine died.

Love the model btw  B)
I always hope for the best.
Unfortunately,
experience has taught me to expect the worst.
