Boy, after building that 1/28th thing, going back to the smaller scale is tough!

Brian da Basher

Ahh nice to see you working again in the "manly" scale.  ;)

I know this one's gonna be outstanding!

It's gonna have spats, right?

I love spats!

Very cool! Somebody else building a Fw 190 besides me.

I will be watching this build with interest.

Ahhh, but will it end up as a FW-190??????   :o

At least I can hope it will be a Fw 190....

LOL...yep, it is going to be a R-11.  I was going to do an oob of an A-8, but then found some radar bits, and came up with an interesting camo pattern.  I have to admit, though, I may be bumping up my modeling size to 48th scale...that large Fokker was just too much fun, and this little dinky thing just doesn't have the same "whoa!" factor for me.

Here we see Colonel Mueller flying "olive patrol" in his newly primed R-11:

Those little things will blind you, I'm here to tell you. ;)  ^_^  I've always liked the F.W. very much and am eagerly waiting to see how you finish it up. :)

I really like how you matched the 1st camo color to that can of olives.  ;)

I know this one's gonna be worthy of a trophy, Greg! Your work never ceases to amaze and delight me!

Here we are with some blotching done...five layers, actually:

cool, looks like bullet holes to me, though.

Chuckle...thanks all !  I wonder why they call it "washing" when the plane ends up looking dirtier than ever?

Careful Greg, talk like that and you'll end up only wantin' to build 1/1 scale ya lazy bum!

Great lookin' build ya got goin' there :)
