I grabbed this ages ago off an Eagle/Dan Dare website from when the comic was restarted in the early 80s.

Thing is, it's not quite a Lightning is it? There's a hint of F-86 nose, a short stubby tail and three jet exhausts from the rear.
Maybe one day they'll release all the modern comics in books as collectors items....

What the last 2 said.  The cut-down fin reminds me of that old Lightning at one of the RAFG bases that was modified to look like a Mig-21

hehehe, looks like the artist was inspired after a visit to Cosford and looking at the Lincon and P.1 !!?  :blink:
somat different for sure, are there any more illustrations of it within the magazine? now thatd make for one interesting model...
