Actually, I became concerned a few eeeks back when Brian didn't post a thing about spats for a long interval. Had he fallen and bumped his head? Well, as it turned out, he came back to his usual spat-inspired self, but in the meantime, I had built this little lovely: The SuperbMarine Spatfire Mark 1B (For Brian)

Not the retractable landing gear...despite being SHAPED like a spat, it really needs all the drag reduction it can muster!

Donor kits: old old OLD Frog Spitfire wings, new(ish) Airfix Spitfire mark 1 for the prop, tail, wheels. decals and exhausts, and the big hunk of Blue Insulation foam for the body. And about 6 coats of Tamiya to seal it all up nice.

I presume all the internal space contains a loo and a place to brew some tea?  ^_^

Damned fine job again Alvis!

Cool.  I'll send him a prompt.

Let the insufferable moaning about SPATS! begin.

What about T-Tails, I ask ya?

What? No T-Tail? I am astonished. ;)

Mr. Howling Mouse, thank you for the Personal Spats Alert. :D

Alvis this little spat-plane is another sign of your deep talent and true genius. I knew the patron-saint of Canadian whiffers would understand that spats enhance the appearance and coolness factor of any aircraft. Especially when the spat IS the aircraft!!!

Wonderful stuff! I am genuflecting before your greatness. B)

I love spats!

Brian da Basher

P.S. Mr. Wulff that Luft-spatz example is totally awesome!!!

P.P.S. I think I'll need some "me" time alone with these wonderful aircraft. Did I mention that I love spats?

cthulhu77

Tea time Tails? "Ah say, looks like Jerry is going to be a spot of bother again! Anyone for a nice cuppa?"

Crossing the T tails?  "Admiral Nelson, shall I bring up your brown Trousers?"
"

T Tops tails? "Bandit, this here is Smokey..what we have is a FAILURE to communicate!"
