QuoteCan I finish a missed-deadline project from another group build for this one? I'm still working on my "Firebat" from the Secret Santa build...
Yeah, I was thinking about that yesterday in light of my "Revival of the Tanked Group Builds" thread (see link below) in which we would revitalize those GB projects which we simply could not finish by their deadline.  My original idea was that unfinished GB projects would go into the "Revival of the Tanked Group Builds" thread for that prize and that everything else (not related to specific past GB's) could go into the Phoenix Build.

I'm open to either/or.  Maybe the modeller with a GB-based past project can choose either thread, based on his/her desire for the respective prize.  I'm offering the Dremel tool for the Phoenix Build and I could come up with a worthy "kit" based prize for the "Revival" GB so people with GB-based subjects could have their choice.

Ultimate Objective: Just want to get those truly promising projects completed.  Can you imagine if the Mona Lisa had been scrapped because the benefactor came in one day and said, "Sorry, Mike, you've exceeded the deadline" and it never saw the light of day?   Or the Taj Mahal was cancelled because, once the foundation was set, somebody backed out of the deal due to the enormity of the undertaking?

No Comrade, we have not forgotten.  Clearly the western Imperialist pig-dogs have been sabotaging your work.

So Barry, if we make this an official GB, when do you suggest running it?

Vacform GB finishes 1st Sept
Dead Parrot finishes 30th Sept
TSR2 GB finishes 31st Oct.

So start it early October?  Get a few more unfinished GB entries eligable that way ;)

Would a project started, unfinished, and exquisitely documented on ANOTHER website count?

I started it before I found this site.  And do I get bonus points for it being almost three years old?

Andrew:
Welllllllllllllllll, I was going to restrict it to builds previously shown on THIS site, but yours IS a What If...  What do you guys think?

Nev, do you think a November start-date would be okay?
Sure want to get the Santa GB done in time this year.  Maybe I can simply complete mine from LAST year?!

Since some of these are, in fact, monster undertakings, I'd have it go a full six months.  What say the rest of you potential participants?  (I'm not big on rules or restrictions: just results)   ^_^

Just realised I never finished my third entry for the "Latin'O'Rama" build.

Not telling what it is but it rhymes with "Thannet"

Also had another I was gonna do for "Twin tails"

that too rhymes with "Prannet"

ooh ooh ooh how about a "Rhymes with Janet" Group build?

Why wait till November Baz?  That gives us a 6 week gap - need to fill it before someone else does!  I say Octember.

As for Secret Santa, that deserves its own thread, but I think I'm going to push that closer to Christmas.
