Looks good if baloney, of course.

To make it slightly more convincing, he could have deleted the cowling exhausts (late models like most used postwar) and paddle blade props.

Nice build but too close to my idea.
I plan on doing a B-26 (Marauder not Invader) in the Nimrod style.
Can't decide if I should upgrade the engines (maybe, from Skyraiders) or not.
But this is nice inspiration.

That sound? Me smacking my forehead. Duh.

If the B-26 worked for the COIN mission, then I could see the -25 doing it too.   Fill the bomb bay with Mk 82 Snake eyes and call it good!

Man, that's just beautiful ! Gotta be about the nicest looking B-25 model I've ever seen ! I mean, I've always loved the old -25, but this thing just looks too right !

Sometimes, one doesn't know whether to feel proud or jealous because that is *exactly* what I had in mind for the ARC Monogram group build.   Likely there'll be a large turnout over there since the idea's one of the most solid they've had and Yours Truely wanted to add some color commentary with a ''Vietnam Mitchell'' with all turrets removed, barbs added, and wearing understores.

Kudos to Gary Allen, the builder.

Using the same kind of propellers that were used on the B-26K is a good idea.  The wingtip mounted tanks would also be a good thing and it would be easy enough to do since Italeri has released the B-26K as a kit it is all available in injection molded plastic. 

The resin B-26K conversion in 1/48th scale from Meteor is not cheap but the parts are all there to do a conversion of the B-25 in that scale if you chose to do so. 

Not sure how many bomb racks could or would be permitted on the wings of the B-25 but as a strafing aircraft, the machine gun battery in the nose would have been more than sufficient for the task of chewing up trucks on the Ho Chi Minh Trail. 

Maybe early war markings and such for an early MAP aircraft for the French Air Force in Vietnam prior to American Involvment.  It would have been a good companion and escort for the C-119 aircraft that were flown with French AdA markings and USAF crews.

One of my patients who has some 40 years of flying experience as a private and commercial pilot said the Mitchell was the noisiest aircraft ever built from a pilot's perspective.

While doing some research on another subject I happened upon a page that is focused on all things Naval Aviation and there was an article about a (CATOBAR) capable B-25H Mitchell (PBJ-1H USAAF 43-4700 / USN BuNo 35277).  This was a USMC aircraft that was modified with a tail hook from an SBD Dauntless and other features to allow it to be launched by catapult from an aircraft carrier.  The article includes a brief description of the testing and some small images. 

Here is a second article on skip bombing, a technique that became synonymous with the B-25 Mitchell in the South Pacific.

Are single tail less heavy and complex than twin tails?
