The story of  european VG fighters in the 60's is quite interesting. First studies were made by Dassault, Breguet and BAC in the early 60's. On the British side, VG studies were led by Vickers (later BAC) with the 580 / 590  series.
On the french side of the channel, first studies were made by Dassault and Breguet in 1963 for the DAFNE program of the French Navy (long range VG patroller...just like the Tomcat ;) ) Dassault roduced the MD-800, and Breguet the Br.1220
Both works were merged into the AFVG program which was cancelled in 1967.
The Mirage G replaced it.
How to make a Mirage G

Just merge a Mirage 2000 D/N with the forward body of a  MiG-23. The air intakes of the Mirage fit nicely to the MiG-23...
King Arthur: Can we come up and have a look?
French Soldier: Of course not. You're English types.
King Arthur: What are you then?
French Soldier: I'm French. Why do you think I have this outrageous accent, you silly king?

Well regardless I would rather take my chance out there on the ocean, that to stay here and die on this poo-hole island spending the rest of my life talking to a gosh darn VOLLEYBALL.

I invite all and any criticism, except about Eric The Dog, it's not his fault he's stupid

Thanks. In fact, as you can see in another thread, I've made a Mirage G... but not using this method! Maybe one day I'll make another Mirage G ;) (in prototype colors)

Well I want to use a MiG-23 just because its the only single-engine / VG-wing aircraft on the planet ;) .But  maybe a F1 fuselage would have a shape closer of the Mirage G...
Making Mirage F2 will be a complicated task...
the Mirage 2000 have low delta wings, Vs high swept wings for the F2. Maybe using a F1 aft fuselage...
the Mirage G and F2 were very similar, and their cockpit is similar to a... Mirage 2000 B/D/N !
To say the thing simply, main differences between the F2, F3 and G (the F3 never flew) were on the wings (VG or swept) and cockpit (two seat / single seat).
The Mirage F1 itself is a scaled-down F3 (single seat /swept wings  interceptor)  with an Atar 9K50 engine...
All of this in less than two years (1966-1968!)
