hi all
In march 1942 was decided to make a deal with deHaviland about license to build the Mosquito for the USN and Marines. The indisputable preferences of this aircraft was important and ambitrative...
the only way to find out was the sealing the "wooden" parts because the propably duty of this aircraft  on carriers and islands in the pacific...
after that it was manufactured by the Eastern Company in two versions...
with and without folded wings.
my aircraft shows the USN version with folded wings on the carrier during the end of 1943 (three tone camo!!!) and propably with a torpedo...we will see  ;)
the kit is the monogram kit. it was stil in my stash...partially build
the only thing is...Im not really happy with the method of the folded wings....
Im thinking about building a new one (tamyia propably) with the wing folding mechanism like on the hellcat or avenger...
the progress showed here was made in ca.5 hours so it should be not the reason not to made a new one... :dum:
so...now hope you like it

Its not decided which prop will be used....
props are from tamyia (in any kit are narrow and paddle blade props...thank god!)
the spinner is a copy of the four bladed part from paragon...

Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

Consdier the wing-fold mechanism from the F4F or F6F as a guide for folding the wings much the way you're showing them.

A folding wing Mossie? Very cool.  I'd really be interested in seeing the USMC version, too.

looking fabulous - that wing folf alone is just KILLING me!

i like the 4 blader better, btw...although she would look stunning with either.
