How about a Swedish splinter scheme like their Viggen??

OR

SAAF late Mirage F-1 scheme (ala the bestest scheme in the world!)
Try not. Do. Or do not. There is no try.

King Arthur: Can we come up and have a look?
French Soldier: Of course not. You're English types.
King Arthur: What are you then?
French Soldier: I'm French. Why do you think I have this outrageous accent, you silly king?

Well regardless I would rather take my chance out there on the ocean, that to stay here and die on this poo-hole island spending the rest of my life talking to a gosh darn VOLLEYBALL.

Yeah, I was considering going with my initial winter scheme colors but doing it in splinter camo instead of pixellated.

But someone already did a fantastic Rafael somewhat along those lines (see below)  so I don't know...might be time to go radical.  Maybe a future target drone once it's become horribly obsolete, say, circa 2029 AD in yellow with black and red diagonal strips?

along with F-16, F-18 & F-20 IIRC.  Read about it in a book on the F-18.

Right here.  Someone here linked to it.  Believe it was featured on ARC or somewhere.  The kind of paintjob I keep hoping I'll be able to do when I'm all grown up someday!

So, I was hoping to post up pics of my finished Mirage today but, guess what?
Yesterday, before going to work, I snuck a peek under the masking of the canopy and, sure enough, I had managed to get paint sprayed underneath!

Even though I swear by Tamiya tape and used that for the outlines, I had cheaped out and used less expensive, regular masking tape for the larger inner portion of the canopy.

The tape must have lifted without me realizing it and there's a nice wash of primer on the "glass."  Looks like crap.

So, I'll try giving it a polish with my 3-grit sanding stick and recoat with Future/Kleer but I may have to buy a replacement kit for the canopy and re-do the canopy masking....with exclusively TAMIYA yellow tape this time!

Sure, mock the Canuck, already!   :P

I'll have you know: the polish/Future trick worked....well, good enough for me.
It's drying now.  All I need to do is attach the canopy in the open position (so you can see that #@&*% cockpit/seat I embellished) and some four blade-antenna-thingeys.

This somewhat-flawed-attempt will be yet another model that sets me apart from the outstanding, clean builds of guys like Matrixone, Gekko, Wolfik, Cthulhu77 (Greg), Sisko, AeroplaneDriver, Swanny, etc. etc. ...

I was waiting to see what happened with this one Baz - I'm waiting with baited(sp?) breath!

Mmmm Mirage!

Just tell the judges that the pilot sneezed, Baz.  That novus plastic polish works wonders, doesn't it?  Looking forward to some more pics...
