I had a few bits and pieces left over from some old builds so have cobbled together another Hellcat/Corsair combo. Can't say it was any easier than the first one, the wing to fuselage joint was still a pig! Still, my old friend Green Stuff came to the rescue once again!! :D

Nice one Seavixen. Very nicely done, great paintjob and neat markings.
If you love, love without reservation; If you fight, fight without fear - THAT is the way of the warrior

If you go into battle knowing you will die, then you will live. If you go into battle hoping to live, then you will die

Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

It just goes to show, anything can be made to look good. Just paint Trekronor roundels on it...

I have read somewhere that the Corsair's wing shape was intended for ground clearance of the propeller while keeping a solid (thus short) undercarriage. Is your propeller far above the ground or actually getting benefit from this wing shape? :)
[the word "realistic" hurts my heart...]

WhooHoo!  Love those markings!
