QuoteRichard, there is absolutely no way this baby can't take first place...I'd like to be the first to congratulate you on your victory ;)

I'm lovin' this build

Try not. Do. Or do not. There is no try.

It is finished!

Finally it is done. I received mainly positive comments at the model competition. As you can see it got third place in the open 32nd scale jet category. Not bad when you consider it is Out Of the Box, competing with other jets that have every conceivable after market set on them that money can buy. first place went to a very deserving Su-27 in Russian markings.

Thanks for all your kind words and encouragement during this build, it made the whole journey that much more enjoyable. I hope some of you learnt something along the way. :P

Now, on to the Wyvern!

Richard.

First of all, thanks go to you for sharing this build along with all the pointers and tips! It is a beautiful build

Second congrats on the victory even if I think you should have placed higher (even if I didn't see the competition -   !).

Third, shouldn't you be working on that Wyvern instead of reading this

Congrats on the excellent showing of your 262 Richard! I can't speak to the competition it faced, but your build is a blue-ribbon winner in my book! Thanks for sharing your tips with us.

Outstanding model

I'd love to see pics of the 2 that beat you, they must've been hellishly good models.

You wuz robbed, Richard !

Not one usually given to great tracts of hyperbole, however, I'll let the words off the leash, just this once.

This has been one of the most enjoyable, educational and inspirational builds I have followed. Technique, thought process, back-story all explained and illustrated with exceptional photos and clear, concise descriptions. As I have mentioned here before this build has reminded me of skills that I posess but haven't used for some time, therefore by following your example - hopefully - I'll turn out some good stuff in the near future too !

Thanks for allowing us all to share the ride.

:o  GORGEOUS !!!!!!!
King Arthur: Can we come up and have a look?
French Soldier: Of course not. You're English types.
King Arthur: What are you then?
French Soldier: I'm French. Why do you think I have this outrageous accent, you silly king?

Well regardless I would rather take my chance out there on the ocean, that to stay here and die on this poo-hole island spending the rest of my life talking to a gosh darn VOLLEYBALL.
