Latest preview (November) from Hobby Boss has the 1/48th Yak38U, 1/72nd Mi2 Gunship, 1/700th USS Arleigh Burke Destroyer and a 1/35th  GMC truck with a 40mm Bofors Gun fitted on the back (nice!). http://www.hobbyboss.com/a/en/Preview/2011/0910/749.html

Want the GMC, Mi2 and got to get the Yak!

^ Mad props to Hobby Boss for depicting the Yak-38U from an angle that DOESN'T makes it look butt-ugly!

Cheers,

It doesn't? Could have fooled me......  :o

Did the main assembly drawing slip while they were building it? I can't see any other way that awful 'droop snoot' nose could have been foisted upon the world.
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

The big 1/35 US 1070 Tank Transporter is now listed for Pre-oder at Hobbysearch but its a hell of price.

1690 parts? :o :o It is bloody expensive, but then it will be an enormous model when built.

It'll be a pricey kit for sure, but keep in mind that Hobby Boss and Trumpeter stuff is ALWAYS expensive at Hobbysearch. Hobbysearch is in Japan, so Trumpeter and Hobby Boss are imported kits.
FWIW, I bought Trumpeter's 1/72 J-20 at a local shop here in Germany for 20 EUR (and still paid over the odds), while HobbySearch wants around 33 EUR for it.

You wouldn't buy Revell or Airfix from HLJ for the same reason.  ;)

Moritz

December update has been posted showing the 1/72nd F-14B, 1/48th F3H-2M version of the Demon (VERY NICE!), 1/35th CV90-40C (very nice too!)and PLA Navy type 35 Ming Class submarine in 1/350th. http://www.hobbyboss.com/a/en/Preview/2011/1012/764.html

CV9040C! Yay!
I hope they will scale-down that Demon to 1/72! That would be awesome!

The Hobby Boss website has some pics of their upcoming 1/72 F-5E Tiger II. CLICK! It looks like it's going to be a refined version of Trumpeter's F-5E, which was a rather straight-forward copy of the Italeri kit, but had recessed panel detail (Italeri's had raised detail). It's going to be a "old" F-5E with pointy nose and small LEX (as opposed to the later version with "shark nose" and bigger LEX).
Cheers,
Moritz

Will be ordering the 1:72 (Yes I did say 1:72 !  :o) F-14A at the end of the month - even in 1:72 the old Tomcat is still a sizeable model when built. Cannot explain why, just fancy a 'real world', early 'A' in Gull Grey'n White.

Mmmmm old school F-14's

Only F.14 I ever built was the Matchbox kit and it was a tad big
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

I've still got the 1/32 scale Revell F-14A I won in the raffle at Coventry last year. It's HUGE!
