Only F.14 I ever built was the Matchbox kit and it was a tad big

Only one I actually finished was a Matchbox one in VF-2 colours! 
Still got an Airfix one in, IIRC, 92 Squadron colours but some bits are missing so I doubt I'll ever finish it.

I only ever made use of one - as a doner for the wings and gloves for a swing wing TSR2.  The F14 is an aircraft that's always left me cold.

Will be ordering the 1:72 (Yes I did say 1:72 !  ) F-14A at the end of the month - even in 1:72 the old Tomcat is still a sizeable model when built. Cannot explain why, just fancy a 'real world', early 'A' in Gull Grey'n White.

Well it arrived this afternoon, and it is, very, very nice. No deployed flap'n slats, but that's why I bought it, want to build mine with no unnecessary 'danglies' not even the missile pylons/pallates, wings in the 'oversweep' position, canopy closed etc. Glorious decals all for early machines - I'll be doing the 1978 VF-41 scheme http://www.carrierbuilders.net/store/images/F-14-042-A4.jpg, Maybe in-time for Huddie... maybe not  

If you fancy an early Tomcat kit - well up to the 'current standard' - I would, on first glance reccommend this one without reservation. 'Course all I have to do now is build it !!

Westland's build the WZ-10 under licence for the Army Air Corps and Royal Marines calling it the Serval AH-1.

i have nearly finished painting their F-14B kit and it is very, very nice indeed. as usual the wingsweep mechanism was cr*p so i glued the wings in the oversweep postion.

The Z-10 is now out in the UK along with the likes of the Sukhoi T-50 PAK-FA and the Milan armed WMIL Land Rover.
