Hobby Boss Kits

I hope the two 1/48 scale Ta 152C's are not just a copy of the Dragon kit, that would suck!!! Anybody know more about these two kits?
If they are new mold kits I will get them ASAP.

Looks quite a treat and nice to see something other than US or WW2 German aircraft for a change.

Interesting that the tail is a separate moulding to the forward fuselage.  I wonder if this means they have plans sometime in the future to release a P1040/1072?

Excellent! Still a bit pricy (Hannants lists it at £11.99) but much better than Trumpeter's ridiculously expensive kit. Might have to get a few of those...

I went into my LMS today to see if they had any of the new Zlin prop trainers in that  Hobbyboss have just recently brought out, but they had sold out  I like the look of those and they have plenty of wiff potential for my Cartel air force.

I'd suggest the separate tails are merely a vehicle to produce different baseline marks of the type, rather than more esoteric versions, although we can always hope!

Then I expect to see a flurry of conversion kits becoming available to change tails.

I expect there will be a West German Seahawk Mk 100/101 as they had taller tails.

I notice some F.1 (perhaps the first production run) didn't have the bullet fairing in front of the horizontal tail surfaces, so there's another option.  It's funny however, because I think Special Hobby released Seahawk kits too, although I'd think the Hobby Boss would be easier with regards to assembly.

The prototypes didn't have the bullet but had buffetting.  The bullet cured it.

The MPM/Special Hobby kit is about ten years old and not easy to build.  The Hobbyboss one is supposedly scaled down from the 48th Trumpeter one. 

Looking forward to it.  Means I can do a really good P.1068.

Beautiful little aircraft, one of my fave of the first generation jets. As for What Iffing.... Canada, Australia and New Zealand would (IMHO) be the most obvious, followed by South Africa, Argentina, Chile & Peru. But a good one to make folks do the 'double-take' routine would be a USN/USMC machine in glossy sea blue !

According to the PUTNAM book on Hawker, Australia received a small number of ex FAA Seahawks.
Anybody out there know any more?

Hawker's did try to interest the Australian in the Sea Hawk, the project designation being the P.1080.  They were more interested in the P.1081.
