Inspiration for anyone interested in the Sea Hawk kit:

Ideal for the '46 GB, RAF/RN wartime schemes or even USN as Ian mentioned.
I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

Those profiles are fantastic Simon. (Thinks: must find a slobbering, drooling emoticon)

Cheers Jim!  I'd be happy if you or anyone was to put them to plastic!

According to the PUTNAM book on Hawker, Australia received a small number of ex FAA Seahawks.
Anybody out there know any more?

I think that is wrong.  I've never seen any reference to Seahawks in RAN or RAAF service.  I've looked through my various books and can't find any information on them, so if they did get them, they were never assigned a service number.  Check out the RAN serials webpage here - http://www.adf-serials.com/ran.shtml   No Hawker Seahawk.  Its companion RAAF serials webpage for the period doesn't have any listed either - http://www.adf-serials.com/raaf2.shtml.

Contrary to what some clueless arsewits have been saying on other forums, the HB Fw Ta 152C is not a copy of the Dragon kit.  Had a look at one this morning and it looks very tasty indeed.  Apart from being the wrong scale.

Simon,

I am just so wanting those kits.
The RAF ones I have to say will be a little bit down the line after the Israeli, South African, etc ones.
However they all fall in line behind the SK-29R Tunnan, and you know whwere that started

Oh, yeah!  Funnily enough, today I was eyeing up the markings I originally had planned for that Tunnan & thinking of putting them on something else.  Korean war SAAF Sea Hawk maybe?  I'd knock you up some more profiles, but unfortunately I lost the base files when the computer got a nasty virus.

What scale do you calculate?

It's 48th and I only do 72nd.  Well, aircraft anyway.  The cars I want to do are all in 24th.

Someone claimed they copied the whole kit? :o I only read on a German forum that HB's nose is supposedly "just as wrong as the Dragon job".

The Wooksta!

I've not checked it against plans - as I haven't bought one - but from the bits I saw in the box, it looked pretty good.

I never had the Dragon Ta 152C in 48th - an H or two and a resin C conversion.
