@ IanH: Thanks for the clarification! I had a moment of "OOOOooo... how'd I  miss that?" since I would love to build some operational Whifs of the various '80s- '90s Vickers prototypes and/or maybe some stuff they never tried. With the Osorio and the various Challenger kits, there are still plenty of options but more would always be better!
Some clever and amusing quote goes here.

Don't forget the Vickers Mk7 - Universal Turret on Leo II Chassis...

An interesting Chinese IFV (I'd say more APC but the terms have become interchangeable).

Looks like Hobby Boss has a CV90 upcoming.  Should be an interesting comparison to Italeri's kit.

I think you mean Academy rather than Italeri

Nice.  I'd like to see it released with the AMOS mortar turret, as far as whiffing is concerned you can port that straight onto another type.
I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

My bad, I thought it was Italeri but I stand corrected.

It'd be interesting to see most of the turret types kitted, but given the 40mm is the 'popular' one, I'm guessing it'd be aftermarket resin that'll take the first crack at AMOS along with any others.  I don't know if the differences are restricted to just a turret with the alternate turret variants.

Yay! Finally!  There's been talk of Hobby Boss releasing a CV90 family for quite some time now. Good to see they finally appear.

One of the pattern-makers of Trumpeter posted on Armorama (CLICKY!) that they intend to do several variants of the CV90 family, including CV9040, CV9040C, LvKv90, LvKv90C, CV9030, CV9035, AMOS and CV90120-T.
Cheers,

Great news that Trumpeter is getting on the bandwagon.  I expect some will moan about soft detail or the like as they did with the Stryker, but at least Trumpy's getting (or planning to get) unique, interesting stuff out there.

Great find Moritz.

^ I'm no longer sure it is Trumpeter, now that Hobby Boss has emerged as the manufacturer. I think I just posted that in the Trumpeter news thread some time ago as the guy identified himself as a Trumpeter pattern maker somewhere on Armorama. Given how Trumpeter and Hobby Boss are kinda related I think the plan may have always been for Hobby Boss to release them.

Anyway, great news!

Tankograd have some pretty decent books on the CV90 series. I've got the issue for the Swedish versions, but there's one for the international versions as well (review HERE on Armorama). Highly recommended!
Cheers,
Moritz

Here's hoping it is Hobby Boss then.  Their stuff seems a bit crisper than Trumpeter, but kudos to whoever for considering a family of them!

Either way, here's hoping this part is true!

All hail the God of Frustration!!!

I've always been a fan of the earlier Warpac helos.  Here's one that up until now has been available only in shorter run type kits.

How about some news first hand  ;)

Trumpeter are doing the US Ranger version on the Land Rover WMIK, which should be out about the end of the year.

Looks like another boxing of the Grumman Panther in 72nd  and the 1/350 Surcouf should keep sub fans happy, as its one of those iconic designs.

From a ship point of view i would have liked to have seen the USN Wasp class in 1/700 as some of the CGI has appeared on the Web of the first one together with their LPD-21 class they announced this year

( I noticed Trumpeter had issued a new preview page on Friday but there wasnt one on the English version on HobbyBoss, so switched to the Chinese and looked in the same place and found the new items listed prior to translation )
