i am proud to announce assembly is compleate and painting is well underway, compleation shoudl be in about a week! i will hold of photos intill its is finished but here is my main blueprint ive been working of  to give you an EXACT idea what the model looks like. all the imporvements  added to this drawing are exactly the same on the model.

Esp. the MiG-23K is very interesting because just last week I found the first accurate drawings of the “real” once planed carrier capable MiG-23 ! .... so I really don’t want to frustrate You .... maybe it’s interesting to You !!

Good news and Bad News:

construction is well finished and went together with no problem.

BUT it appears capitalist infiltrators have gained acces to our glourous plant the Humbrolski and tampered with our paint!!!

because of these capitalist scum, the paint is rather thick. but not to worry the skilled workers of the OKB have managed to fix this through lightly sanding and rescribing panels were they are lost.

as usuall, glourios scocialism has beaten those capilist dogs without a fight, resulting in a model which you cannot see there dirty work. Hope to have pics soon

PS reccommend KGB and GRU to have a frendly "chat" with the Humbrolski plant Manager and convince him to seek early retirement in the Gulag near Vladavostik

Is your MiG-23K purely a fighter built to shoot down the Fascist infiltrators into out Socialist airspace?/
I'm considering (after careful reading of the current 5 Year Plan, my new volumes of the Works of Karl Marx, and the Bolshevik Cookbook by Comrade Delia) that dialectic communism will allow me to build a MiG-27k anti-ship and ground attack ship-board aircraft, armed with self-defence missiles and either one or two torpedos.

Excellent, excellent! While it is necessary to bring death to the enemy Americanski fighters, an attack aircraft will also be needed to send glorious rains of Communist fervor upon the fascist masses of the decadent Western navies and armies!

The shipping of the aircraft to the great glory of the Motherland has been delayed by interfering spies of the imperialists. Expect them to arrive later this year.

my mig-23k i envisage as a carrier based interceptor/fighter with ground based capabilities. Though in its final configuration it will only carry New KH mid-range ASMs to deal death to those capilist ships that dare oppose our carriers.  

your idea if a carrier based Mig-27K is an exelent idea and fits perfactly with the development of our glourius fleet. Because as capable as the Mig-23K may be, it would follow true soviet ideals to have a dedicated supersonic ( i say supersonic to leave room for the su-25!) ground attack varient to work along side the Mig-23K.

but all is not lost

But after mark 1, i now have the glourius Zvesda kit, from the Rodina, which is far superior to the unpure western offerings. i have salved all the best parts from the mark one for the new and improved Mk 2, which is a 23ML and has the fin that is shown on the 23k blueprints. but due to other commitments ( exams) i am aiming to have it compleated before christmas and will most likely be unveiled in the december.

oh and it will feature a brief showing of my first attempt, which was a "modeified 23S for demonstratiions purpeses and was subsaquently left on display in a moscow museum"
