Ever wanted to do an aircraft (or other vehicle) paint scheme based on the markings of a moth?

Would look great on a Luft '46 Horten!

Styrene in my blood and an impressive void in my cranium.

BlackOps

I agree some of those moths have great patterns and would be perfect on a Horten.

Not a moth, but I've always thought the turret of the T-55 tank looks like a hamburger bun.   Add sesame seeds and that thing can take on the (fat) USofA with success!  :P

The moth idea is great!   #7865 Banded Sphinx Moth gets my vote for a combat version, #7826 Huckleberry Sphinx Moth for a racing post-war version.

King Arthur: Can we come up and have a look?
French Soldier: Of course not. You're English types.
King Arthur: What are you then?
French Soldier: I'm French. Why do you think I have this outrageous accent, you silly king?

Well regardless I would rather take my chance out there on the ocean, that to stay here and die on this poo-hole island spending the rest of my life talking to a gosh darn VOLLEYBALL.

Radish

I've always reckoned that the Harrier GR1/3 looks like a giant insect, and I've one in the stash for just that....one eye (the canopy in black-metallic coloured hues, with some horrid colours on the fuselage/wings and large transparent=type fly wings attached.

The flying wing idea using moth schemes is a cracker.

Also, I reckon the Horton 229 is a great "boomerang" shape....why not one in Aboriginal markings?
