Oh believe me, I know.  More than we send to any other country in the world, by a long, long shot.  If we took that money and put it into HIV/AIDS research, or alternative fuels research, or any of about a mazillion other areas, we'd have answers to them in a flash.  God forbid we should cover our citizens with a floor of basic health care coverage as a right of citizenship.  No, that'd be too much like right.
