Remember this one (from Thorvic?)
http://www.whatifmodelers.com/forum//index...ic=5343&hl=1134

There's also this marvellous website planespictures.com (the 3D rendering come from there)

Always asked if the P.42 and P.1134 were rivals projects for an hypothetical hypersonic research program (early 60's ) ? or where they private ventures only ?
In every case, they look terrific!
King Arthur: Can we come up and have a look?
French Soldier: Of course not. You're English types.
King Arthur: What are you then?
French Soldier: I'm French. Why do you think I have this outrageous accent, you silly king?

Well regardless I would rather take my chance out there on the ocean, that to stay here and die on this poo-hole island spending the rest of my life talking to a gosh darn VOLLEYBALL.

English electric P.42 (planepictures.com again)

Fantastic looking aircraft, & it's nice too see Thorvics model as I wasn't around on the forum then.

A British 'Blackbird', overflying Russia on spy flights, lovely idea!

I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

Archibald

Just imagine this bird with Red Deans and AIM-47s ... :o

Hmm must get to scanner, I've got a pic of the EE Mach 4.5 machine that would be right for this thread.

Falcon, are you planning a Hawker P.1134 ? You have to start a thread in the section "show us your pics of projects on your workbench"
That's an impressive work!

Some pictures that I have seen on Google show the P.42 with twin fuselage air intakes similar in appearance to a Mig-25 with a single vertical tail fin. The wings would need to be changed, but it would look convincing.

For crying out loud, learn to use scale drawings and stop winging it you just belittle the Project Cancelled theme by putting your fantasy builds inspired by real projects into real project threads.

You do the same quoting the Chris Gibson books and then come up with your fantasy crap based on your knowledge of what you have in your stash and growing pile of failed builds and it annoys the crap out of me as google searches will bring up your drivel when people are doing genuine research  :banghead:

Really?
When I showed my builds at RAF Hendon at the SIG stand I didn't get any criticism for the 'Vietnam Neptune' or fantasy SR-71+F-16 kitbash and they were figments of my imagination.
The feedback was positive both from fellow Whiffers and the general public.
So I'm dyslexic, doesn't mean I can't have a go and build something I've seen either on line or in a book/magazine.
I might not get it right first time, doesn't mean that I'll give up trying.
