Thought this'd fit in here:

I noticed a few 1/87 by Noch as well at Hull Modelzone, a small excavator, fork lift & such.  Stuff like fork lifts would be useful for a transport aircraft dio.
I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

They also have a line of forklifts, tractors and farm equipment in 1/32, as well as a few construction vehicles in 1/72.

Looking for the Noch stuff, I found Siku do a fair range of construction & agricultural equipment in 1/87, 1/50 & 1/32.  The 1/87 is just about doable for 1/72, 1/50 should be near as damnit for 1/48 while the 1/32 stuff should be okay for 1/35, not to mention 1/32 aircraft.  They are definately toys, but are near model quality representations & should scrub up okay with a bit of paint.

Siku site, with 2010 catalogue listings:

There seems to be a fair bit of other stuff available that's not on the Siku website, here's 10 page long listing from Wonderland models (it'll need a bit of wading through), the 1/50 airport tender is interesting:

Langley models have all sorts of 1/76th construction equipment. They're resin and/or white metal kits (and it's not clear which is which from the website) and some of the prices are eye-watering, but worth a look anyway.

Worth having a browse around the rest of that site too: all sorts of scenic goodies.

Some interesting construction equipment here, basically the stuff the Israelis use in Gaza including armoured and unarmoured bulldozers and a "camel crane" (?):

The "camel" crane is an odd one, isn't it?  Looks similar to some of the huge crash clearing Le Tournou stuff that SAC had for removing B-47s and B-52s from runways in a hurry.

Found this in the local toy/model shop the other day, for a couple of quid. It's by Matchbox and it's called a "Skidster". Looks to be about 1/76th or 1/72nd scale: the figure alongside is 1/72nd, and remember he's on a base:

Looks like it would paint up a treat, although you might have to swap the wheels for something a little more realistic.

Weaver we call that a 'Bobcat' over here and although I see thickness issues with the bucket the wheels and tires look fine to me.

Weaver

The problem with the wheels is that there's absolutely no tread on the tires.

It's almost 'scaleless', depending on your thought processes.  ;)

In actuality I suspect it's nearer 1/48 as it looks EXACTLY like a little device called a 'Bobcat' that we used while installing the world's largest wave-maker in N Holland in the 80s. The Bobcat was shorter than me and its roof was about up to my chest.
