Holy cow Matrixone, these keep getting better and better! You've made some great progress today. My hat is off to you as always.

Looks like it's time for me to consider a new hobby. Mudpies, anyone? ;)

Definetly Mudpies, Basher. I lost my hat the other day at the beach.
I just made my first two posts and my work looks like kindergarten.

Rafael,
I checked out your Gannet post but I don't have any useful ideas that would be any better than those suggested by the other guys.

Below is another one of my early modelling efforts from the 1970s...

Rafael

Sweet. You guys have made me take interest in an unexplored theme by me: prop-driven airplanes (not counting the Gannet and a coupla others)

Rafael, don't worry, only a handful of us here can touch the minor-deity level of modelling that Matrixone achieves (and I'm not one of them!)

Thank you nev!

I have just added some stencils to the He 162 and Bf 109 and started weathering the landing gear legs and mainwheels.
Later today the prop blades will be weathered and will assemble the propeller, also the pilots clear vision head armor will be assembled and weathered and if the decals are dry later today I will break out the airbrush and start the weathering process which will take a long time to do because I need to go slow and check my work often so I don't go too far and ruin the model.

No pics today but instead some news on the models...the He 162 model is not going well at the moment, I placed one of the stencils in the wrong location, also in attempting to weather the paint job on the engine nacelle I goofed and need to re-spray that area. <_<

The Bf 109 also is not progressing as quickly as I had hoped it would, the weathering is the main problem. I can't quite get the right look to it yet and not sure how to get it there without going over the top.

Damn these ''real'' model subjects!

Tomorrow is supposed to be a nice day and I should be able get some new pictures of the models, it might help to see how the models look through the cameras eye.
Good or bad, I will post some in-progress pics. B)
