I, too am in awe!!! Matrixone, this will show those JMNs that you can model with the best!

Now where are my mudpies? ;)

Some really beautiful work there, sir.

Thanks very much for the comments Rafa, nev, Brian, and Greg!

Brian,
I intend to keep the pics of the completed models so that next time I come across a discussion about whiffers not building models as good as the people who build models of 'real world' subjects I will butt in and show them my pics and tell them I prefer to model what-if's because it requires you to think beyond a set of instructions or reference book (which are often later proven wrong!).

Rafael

Muy Bien, Matrixone!!!!
Show 'em!!!

Rafa,
There is little creativity needed in doing a real world model and I don't understand why some of the ''expert'' modellers tend to put down what-ifs like they do.
I say there is MORE skill/thought needed to do a whiff and this type of modelling should be respected, not dissed.

Just a few moments ago UPS brought me my latest order from Squadron Mail Order and in that order is my latest what-if project, something that I don't usually build but will make a very nice whiff! I can't tell you what it is because it will ruin the surprise.

Matrixone

Rafael

Don't tell. Let the whiff magic work its teasing-expectation game. Is one of the best parts of it!!!

I'm already trembling with said expectation for seeing what are you coming up with next.....

There's talent in mimicking real life machines, and imagination in creating the ways in wich those creations will adhere to appearance of the real things

Congrats, Me quito mi sombrero ante tí. (My hat is off to you)

Thanks again Rafa,
Now I can hardly wait to get the Bf 109 and He 162 finished just to clear the work table and start the new project! It is something many here would not expect me to build. I am trying to figure out a good camouflage scheme for it now even though I haven't even started building it yet! This could be one of the quickest building whiffs I have ever done yet, it all depends on how well the larger parts fit together.

BTW, nice mountain in the background :)

I live in Lincolnshire, so a small rise in the ground is classed as a steep hill ;)

So far outta my league that it truly cracks me up.
Just shakin' my head and grinning, Matrixone!

Wow!
Styrene in my blood and an impressive void in my cranium.

matrixone

Thanks for the more than kind words John!

These two kits are two of the better kits I have ever built and are easy to assemble which in my case is very good since I am not a very good builder but instead I can paint well, so these two kits highlight what skills I do have and have turned out well so far. A fun modelling experience. :D

BlackOps

Your unfinished models look way better than my finished builds...DOH!

They look pretty cool, even unfinished against the backdrop, almost expect to see aircraft mechanics climbing all around them.

Thanks Jeff!

I was trying to give the effect of a post war aircraft graveyard in this last group of pics.

There is only a couple things left to do on these models and they will be finished,
pics of them should be posted sometime next weekend...that is if there are no more storms with 100+ mph winds that hit my area.

Can't wait to get going on my next whiff! It will be something new for me.
