The origin of my insanity

I propose you to post in this topic your first whatif project. Even if it is bad or damaged. And to drop some lines on the origin of your hobby/insanity.

It will be like a group therapy.

I begin:
'My infancy was very sad, we lived in our small flat in a very poor district ... '

When I was 15 or so, I wanted to build a Yak-9D, but I thought that Airfix's model was a real dog, so I decided to mix its parts with Heller's Yak-3. With remainder parts I decided to build just another plane. Here you can see the result.

The Yak is made with
-Heller: fuselage, tail plane, cockpit and canopy
-Airfix: wings (because of wheel boxes), chin and ventral radiators

The whatif is made with the rest and a Vokes filter from the Heller Spitfire V. This was the first time I used saw, filler, etc...

Where did you get the scissors marking on the port nose?

I am not sure, (30 years ago!) but I think I used one of those old Esci decal sheets that had a mix of everything.

Ysi, you invented the MS-406 for the second time ... after all, the D-550 nearly came to fruition is Spain thanks to Hispano suiza, so why not  the Morane saulnier ?
