What do you plan to build in near future?

PD7,

I think the designation would be something like ASk 37E (given that the Sk 37E is a Sk 37 variant (ie two seater - I'm assuming that is what you have in mind) modified for ECM) and you would be giving it an attack capability (hence the 'A').  I hope that helps - look here for more info.

Well, all my building is going really slow.

Today I did pick up one of those new Hobby Boss kits, I got the Hurricane II and it looks like a lot of fun to build.

That Hurricane is about all I have in mind for completed stuff in the NEAR future. I primarily bought it just so I could say I did complete something.

QuoteGary F.:   Would the nose section from a F-5F fit on the X-29?

Just a thought,
Daryl J.
Daryl J,

From what I've seen around here, it would work just fine .... just have to find one to use!  Also looks like the front of the RoG/ESCI F-5B would work fine too, but I think the F-5F front end looks better  ;)
The fit would be no problem, all F-5 variants use a standard bulkhead interface just behind the cockpit to mate with the rest of the fuselage and since the X-29 uses a F-5A nose, there should be no problem there.

F-5B front end has minimal room for radar (more along the lines of just a weather radar as on the T-38).  The F-5F is a fully operational aircraft.  Now, if one was truly, masochistically whiffy, you could combine a set of F-5F & F-5B front ends to do a three-seat courier/staff transport aircraft.

elmayerle,

If I can find an F to put on the X-29, it will be a combat ac.  If not, the F-5B front will go on, and it will be done up in USN TPS colors (test pilot school white and orange, not the tactical paint scheme grays)
And, I've stashed away your VIP 3 seater idea ...

VIP 3-seat approach will also work with a F-20, you know. ;)

QuoteAn idea has been slowly forming for my next big project that involves a P-51 and B-25.
This sounds intriguing. Tell us more...

I'm going to be working on:

Ostfront Kanonvogel Val
Sea Lightning (wing folds, 4 blade props, Pacific cammo, etc.)
RAF Wyvern
Simon

This is the curse of speed;  I have been a slave to it all my life. On my gravestone they will carve 'It never got fast enough for me'.

On the bench at the minute

The, might end up as, Hungarian GR.3 painted but no definite plan yet.
A civilianised Harrier T.10 (weapons systems and such removed, pretty colour pending).
A monstrosity that was a Heyford but is slowly becoming a gunship.

I've just got an old (started) Airfix Catalina off EB and I'm test fitting bigger engines. It's gonna be scary and loud in the front of this one  :)

Actually there's a load of other stuff but I don't see any of them getting touched anytime soon. :(

Something I definitley want to start is my planned PB-26J which is a patrol version of the A-26 Invader...

Then there's all the other planes on my whiff spread sheet
Try not. Do. Or do not. There is no try.

Well having got back into modelling this year I am finally going to start my first kit this weekend, it will be a FAA TSR2 in all over extra dark sea grey.
Followed by:

Rotodyne- FAA COD
Vanguard -maritime patrol aircraft
Skyvan-RAF transport
Bristol Freighter- RAF transport
Me-109- lowback with bubble canopy
Vulcan- RAF bomber interceptor as 92 Sqn. bare metal with blue spine and fin.

Well thats the plan anyway.

cheers

I don't know but everything I will build in 2007 will have SPATS!!

Oh, dear Gawd, where did THAT come from??!!   :o   :(
Styrene in my blood and an impressive void in my cranium.

Yannick! You wanna know what I'm up to?

Well, right now I've finished the structure of my Aurora/Heller Yak-3, helping Lana bash a 60s Airfix 1:72 109 into god-knows what ("I don't know what I'm building, I just am!" she says), watching her do her Kiwi Corsair as well.

Waiting for sufficient funds to buy decals to allow me to finish the Project AFC P-40K, parts are inbound from the States to let me complete the Tora, Tora, Tora Zero, and Lana and I are set to do our Polikarpov I-153 Chaikas (my first riggging project, eek!).

Incoming still are my birdcage Corsair (another Project AFC aircraft), a box of mystery kits for Lana and I from RotorheadTX (c'mon Tony, I'm bursting with anticipation over here!) and the Airfix Corsair which I'm gonna retrofy!

All is go here dudes! Stay tuned! Got some pics of today's efforts for y'all later too....

Well...
Once my Telford projects are done, I really need to get on with my Renault Magnum. It's been sitting for far too long.

When that's finished:
- SR.177 vacform (Dutch Navy?)
- TSR.2 ('70s Dutch air force?)
- Tornado F.3
- Tornado GR.1 (Instant sunshine)
- Yak-141
- Sea Harrier FA.2
- Tornado FGR.5
- FB-22

and way too many other ideas...

Spey_Phantom

in the future, there are also a few things im planning, although im not quite sure iff they will ever see the light of day  B)

1/72

-Rafale F.2 (Belgian AF)
-Hawk Mk.100 (Phill navy)
-NH90 NFH or TTH (Belgian AF, not a whiff anymore)
-A-4E (possible venezuelan bird)

1/144

-F/A-18E/F (luetonian air force)
-F-16XL (USAF, service markings, old airfix kit)

anyway, these are my prefered favorites, although i just come up with ideas on the spot  B)
on the bench:

-all kinds of things.

Once the Telford builds are out of the way. I think i may do a couple more TSR2 to round off the options together with one with all the CMK sets once they are released.

Scratch Building wise i'm not too sure where things will be going, none will be new projects built to completion but rather recreating some of my previous builds as masters <_<.

I have a feeling too that i may get bullied into recreating my current Telford build one it is completed...... :(
