You're SOL for 1/72 Phalanx, but there is a 1/35 version but it will set you back about $155  :-\

He's not you know
You forgot about the R/C model warship crowd, they do various fixtures and fittings of various quality  ;D

I blame Google for that screw up  ;D  I knew I had seen one in that scale but couldn't find any. Oh well...  That one looks nice but needs detailing/modifying.  Given that its 1/72 I'd suggest getting a Master Models brass replacement for the gun, re do the hand holds with wire and, scribe some panel detail on the dome and add its hand holds.  That's just me though.

I'm toying with Dutch Navy Seafires - Merlin ones - as training machines before they get the Seafang.

Now that my Victor B4 is out of the way, my next tricks will be ;

Short Stirling IV - that's the version with the 120ft wingspan & 6 Hercules engines & 2  upper gun turrets on a longer fuselage! ;D
2 versions of the TSR 2 interceptor. Both natural metal finish with one in Russian & the other in RAF markings. Part of my alternative Cold War idea (with the USA as the bad guys!) I'll be using the 1/72 & 1/48 kits.
Phantom FGR3 FSW (Forward Sweep Wing). Using the Revell/Hasegawa Spey engined kit (1/48).Also use an F4-E/F nose on this. Long nosed Phantoms were DEFINITELY the best looking!!
MiG 19 in 92 Sqn (RAF) markings - straight paint job whif! Nice easy one
Airbus/Antonov A-450. R R Trent engined development of the Antonov AN-124

Oh yes - nearly forgot. After seeing SigFanUSA's beautiful B-36, I am just going to have to dig my unfinished one out!!! Dark Green/Grey /PRU Blue with Suez stripes I think! :o
Loves JMNs but could never eat a whole one!!

Fixed that for you. ;D

I've sort-of-but-not-really promised myself I won't start any new builds until I clear the huge pile of (currently twenty-something) unfinished ones, but I'm itching to start my 1:100 Hyaku Shiki. Also having the urge to do something multi-engined - Maybe I'll dig out  that Halifax in the new year - it'll be a testbed in nice bright colours, or maybe an upgraded Tiger Force machine.

I do that all the time  :banghead: Started a process whereby for every 2 new starts I work on a golden oldie at the same time. Seems to be working so far (fingers crossed  ;D)

McColm

I'll probably build a multi-role version of the north American A-5B, which went on in the real world to become the RA-5C. Using my Trumpeter 1/72 kit and parts from a Matchbox Tornado F3.
Would that make it an RAF-5B (recon, attack, fighter?) or FRA-5B :banghead:
The next step is to build a few helicopters, either with under-slung loads so they appear to be hovering or clear poles so they can be located around InchMcColm.
I came across a plastic light fitting cover that was ribbed, if sprayed blue this could simulate water/the sea. All I need do is cut it to size and place The Welsh Harp Sea Monster on it. Just build a wharf/pier and a terminus near by. My other boat/ship builds (RAF Launch and Lifeboat projects) would also be displayed and float plane version of the Lockheed Griffon powered C-69 Connie.
McColm Castle will need to be extended, the castle walls coming from a different kit as the main castle was from an Airfix Sherwood Forest model. Coastal defence kits will need to be built (yes I know they look German, but with a little tweaking :banghead:).
This should mean no new builds to be started until mid 2013, due to the lack of space. That's not forgetting those already started!!

Hah, I do try to do that, but I find I spend more of the time on the newies, which then results in three unfinished models rather than just the one I started with! :banghead: I've got a couple that are progressing quite well at the moment - a Swiss Bf110 (looking cool if I do say so myself!), and a Falklands War Skyraider. Once I've finished both of those I'll do at least one more, then I'll let myself start the 'Shiki.
