What do you plan to build in near future?

After a really long break, I'm getting the bug again.

1/25
Batmobile (from the Secret Santa GB like 3 years ago...)

1/700
Coastal Battleship (British, using part of a Rodney hull and the twin 14" quads from the KGV class)
HMS Lion (Using the rest of the KGV and the turrets from the Rodney.  Nice, eh?)
Modern big gun monitor (Mostly going to be a scratch build, but using that last twin 14" turret from the KGV)
Iranian Torpedo destroyer (Armed with a slew of 533mm tubes launching Shkvals)

Most of which should start after our current house guest moves out and things settle a bit.  Hopefully starting in July.

The Polar Lights Barris '66 Batmobile?
If using the kit decals for the orange stripes be aware that even with lots of micro set/sol they do not fit exactly and there will be gaps.  You can mix a perfect paint match from Gunze Sangyo Mr Color Acrylic orange and light gull grey.

No, it's one I was customizing out of a 66 Fast back and a Camaro.  :)

I got the Fast Back for Secret Santa a few years back and things were going well until first paint.  Then it all went horribly wrong.  But I saw the shell of it laying around recently and figured I should actually finish it as it was cool.  I have a build thread on here from a while back somewhere...

The Wooksta!

I was looking at some KP Avia S199s, even pushed a few bits round the box and did a little sanding.  Did a little test fitting of an AML one.

But no, can't get out of the funk I seem to be in now.  Still having the odd flash of creativity, just don't want to do anything with it though.

Been thinking along the lines of ' Aircraft that the USA  military should have bought'.
My stash would be reduced by 75%  using up all those decals I've found.

;D Something [anything!] from my stash before SWMBO realises how big my stash is!  :o

Wor Lass knows how big the stash is, although she doesn't know quite how big the secondary one at me Mam's is...

Mrs_PR19 is only TOO aware how big my collection is, not the least reason being that half of it is currently in our bathroom, the hall and the lounge while I try and make sense of its proper location, The Loft!  :o

I have decentralised my storage to mitigate the risk of accidental spousal realisation.

Why is it that spouses, either new or established, always seem to have a downer on the size of our stashes??? I mean we hae to come up with ever sneakier ways to get them past the other half whereas THEY seem to be able to flaunt their purchases with no come back what so ever???

Ok, this is only semi-rhetorical....

Mrs_PR19 doesn't have such a down on mine, as mentioned above. But then she's got whole ROOM fulls of stuff in our house, mainly clothes of course.  ;D

I do appreciate she's in the minority though, one reason (of many...) why I married her.  ;D

Gondor

My other half knows roughly how big my stash is and has even offered more boxes in which to store some of it!

Then again we do live apart and she is into crafting and card making so has a stash of her own.

To be honest Mrs z wouldn't be too worried.
I get the occasional look when I walk in with more kits but I can deflect by innocently asking when she will be building her mini stash of TV/Movie robot kits.
When it all comes down to it though i'd have to spend a lot more than I currently do to match what I used to spend on cigarettes and beer.

I'm admittedly lucky.  SWMBO helped me make a spreadsheet for my ship models yesterday.  The one worrisome thing is that she has announced that she is interested in model building.  While I in general approve of this idea, she best not be eyein' me stash!  ;)

NARSES2

I think in the main our other halves are happy with the stash as long as/because :-

1) We are showing some sings of building them

2) It doesn't interfere with other "more important" things. Note this definition can cause some confusion at times  ;D but in the main obviously the kids, food and house come first.

3) It tends to keep you at home a bit more then if you didn't have a hobby, no gallivanting with the lads

4) It helps if they also have a hobby (shoe shopping doesn't count )

However the major caveate is that she (assuming 90% + of the readers of this are male) can and probably will change her mind/attitude at any point that is suitable for her.

I love 'em really just gave up trying to understand them years and years ago
