Im planning to do models, whiff and non-whiffs

AirJim

Finished the Maplebolt last night.  Pics will follow over the weekend.

On the bench:

Hobby Boss 1/72 Tomahawk (403 Squ. RCAF)
Airfix 1/72 Spitfire Vc (Malta)
Heller 1/72 BF-108 (Captured RCAF)

Just got a Gannet.  Maybe RCN???  (Though I'm sure I'll cop out and either do the WEE flight bird or one of the box decal options

In the future...

C-FAST "Swordplay" racer  What is that you ask?  Well an Academy Spitfire fuselage with Sabre wings, horizontal stabs and tail.  The ultimate Reno racer.  Been wanting to do this for quite a while.  :)

Inspired somewhat by K5054NZ I really should sit down and actually build my Canadian Warplane Heritage fighter collection of the 80s.  Mustang, Corsair, Hurricane, TBM, Firefly restoration project, and Seafire XV restoration project.

Too...  many....  ideas...  and kits... on the go.

Not gonna list them, as it would just take too long, but I've got a bunch of F-4's, bunch of F-15's, bunch of prop planes (Wyvern, Tigercat, Fireball, XP-47H, Tradewinds, Tucano, Constellation), some Soviet planes (some missing pieces, but what did I expect from the bargain table?), and some other stuff.

I actually went through my stash a week or two ago, and jotted down possible build ideas for almost every one, including the ships.

QuotePD7,

I think the designation would be something like ASk 37E (given that the Sk 37E is a Sk 37 variant (ie two seater - I'm assuming that is what you have in mind) modified for ECM) and you would be giving it an attack capability (hence the 'A'). I hope that helps - look here for more info.

Regards,

Greg

Thanks for the info and the link!! It will help me very well!!

QuoteYannick! You wanna know what I'm up to?

Well, right now I've finished the structure of my Aurora/Heller Yak-3, helping Lana bash a 60s Airfix 1:72 109 into god-knows what ("I don't know what I'm building, I just am!" she says), watching her do her Kiwi Corsair as well.

Waiting for sufficient funds to buy decals to allow me to finish the Project AFC P-40K, parts are inbound from the States to let me complete the Tora, Tora, Tora Zero, and Lana and I are set to do our Polikarpov I-153 Chaikas (my first riggging project, eek!).

Well! So much ideas!! I'll really enjoy watching your P-40K and her Kiwi Corsair!

Quote
- SR.177 vacform (Dutch Navy?)
- Yak-141
- Tornado FGR.5
- FB-22
Hummm! Those 4 ideas just sounds so ggod to me!! Please, just do them !! :D  :D

Oh, and just a little question: do you guys know where I could find some 1/72 decals of the Brazilian Navy's A-4 or even some Argentinian Navy roundel for a reasonnable price??

I am now building a 1/32 scale Bf 109G-14 and 1/32 scale He 162 in 'real' markings, just opened up the box on another He 162 kit today and will be doing that one in a ''what-if'' scheme...just to upset a JMN or two. :P

For Archibald

the Carreidas works well with a combination 1/2 F-111 + falcon but the Falcon needs stretching and the f-111 enlarging

see mine :

I was sure you would react  ;) and I know you already build one.
I agree for the stretching of the Falcon, the fuselage is too short. But I'm still hesitating for the VG system (between the MiG-23 and F-111). This is not only a matter of span, but also of wing roots.
My plan would be "extracting" the VG system of the fighter, and graft it on the Falcon (replacing the fairing were the wings are fixed).
Well I still have to  refin my project...probably one of the difficult buildings I've ever started !!!
For the undercarriage, I watched Vol 714 again and it seems that a Viggen main undercarriage would fit nicely...
King Arthur: Can we come up and have a look?
French Soldier: Of course not. You're English types.
King Arthur: What are you then?
French Soldier: I'm French. Why do you think I have this outrageous accent, you silly king?

Well regardless I would rather take my chance out there on the ocean, that to stay here and die on this poo-hole island spending the rest of my life talking to a gosh darn VOLLEYBALL.

have to kits for a vulcan based shutle launcher with a mig 37 ferret as the main doner for its payload

I'm mid way through a Jaguar M from Operation Herecles (?) over Afghanistan. It's a 1/72 Ariex kit. (looks like Airfix)
