What do you plan to build in near future?

A kitbash version of the Pink Panther car or an F-1 race car and station wagon rear. Not too sure where the engine would go but I have the diecast Dinky car as a reference.
The Blohm & Voss BV138 long range maritime reconnaissance and transport flying boat, turboprop version.
My version of the Latecore 521-523. Not too sure if there is a plastic kit around. The 523 looks so cool for something built back in 1938.
BV222- tradewindish.
Do-24 kitbash with a Short Sunderland.

The Wooksta!

An Airfix Beaufighter as soon as I can get one.

Came across the Swiss FFA P-16 ground attack aircraft. Looks like the Swift at certain angles. JETS magazine pages 68-73 July/August 2015.
An all jet powered C-160 loosely based on the YC-15.

Did you know its wing was the basis of the Lear Jet? It really was.
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

The article in JETS July/August 2015 only mentions that there was similarities between the P-16 and the Lear Jet 23 around the wing profile, its multispar wing structure and permanently attached wingtip fuel tanks.
The only other connection was Bill Lear Jr got to evaluate the P-16 at Altenrhein.

The Martin Sea Master could be converted into a Be-200 look-a-like. On the Mach2 kit the engines are separate to the wings. A pair of pylon turbojets or turbofans could be added to the fuselage just behind the wing, additional landing gear would need to be kit bashed. As I've got a B-47 in the stash I was thinking of using that as an alternative.
Cockpit will need attention, perhaps replaced.
Depending if I can get a kit at a discount price.

It might suit being a look-alike Be-42 Albatross rather than a 2000, they're much more similar in size. The 2000 has a more boxy, cargo or pax carrying fuselage, whereas the Albatross' shape suits the MRA role much more closely.

I looked at doing that when I got my Mach 2 Seamaster but the lure of turning it into a Whiffed P6M  won out in the end.  ;D

You'd need a pair of BIG turbo-fans to make an Albatross though, maybe a pair from an E-3D or F Sentry?

Captain Canada

My neighbours got together and gave me some cards and moola. I'd like to spend it on motorcycle stuff but that might not look good....so maybe somat I wouldn't normally buy ?

Seamaster sounds good, and maybe a C-133 Cargomaster, might try the Roberts Combat vacs, give me hours of cutting fun, which I do enjoy. Also thinking of an Anigrand kit as I just love the look of those little freebie kits.

Delivered today the 1/72 Revell 04602 C-160 and Avro Shackleton MR3, first thought a Grffon powered C-160.
The Tyne engines to be fitted on the Revell Br1150 Atlantic making that a four engined beast.

McColm

Got the Matchbox HP Victor K2 in the stash, first thought AEW then ASW or transport aircraft.
Another idea sprang to mind from one of my previous topics a water bomber to tackle forest or bush fires.
In the real world I have no idea if this is viable but this is Whifland so anything is possible.
The kits inflight refueling tanks will be fitted to a Airfix BAe Nimrod- experimental layout with spin top radome and reshaped vertical tail.
Will use white metal undercarriage on both builds from vacform sets.
Will need to ask if it is possible to refill tanks on a low level pass, may need to ditch slipper tanks.

Captain Canada

I did order a RCM C-133, but since then have talked to Gene Hooker and his is still available, so I think I may have to order that one as well..... ;D

Been thinking of building the Took 1/72 An-74 Coaler, maybe the AEW version although not a Whiff as such it would fit into my RAF/RN AEW collection.

Once I get crimbo out the way (reverts momentarily to Bah, Humbug mode!! <_<) and my bench cleared, my next project will be the Avro Edinburgh long range bomber. Base kit is the Fujimi Nakajima G 10. Despite my antipathy towards anything (flying) in 1/144, I could not resist this beauty (which I had never even heard of before!) when I happened across a batch of 3 at a local car boot sale (of all places!) recently. A mere £4 each. I also have in mind an AEW platform and, I might even build the third one as a Japanese example!! <_<.  Even in tiddler scale this kit has a 45cm wingspan!

Allan
Loves JMNs but could never eat a whole one!!

NARSES2

That was a good buy Allan. There was a build in one of the magazines a month or so back. Looked a nice build
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

With the forthcoming release of the Airfix 1/72 Westland Sea King HC.4 and two plastic kits available for the HH-3 Pelican/Golly Green Giant, can't help think that the HH-3 should have been built under licence by the British.
Not too sure if there are any after market resin or photo-etch kits are available.

EB-29 AEW in the style of the USNavy B-17 AEW with tail wheel and ventral radome. Could adapt this to the Wyton build.

Airfix Super freighter kitbashed with a Wessex helicopter.
