I've been thinking about getting the Vee tail kit and bashing it with the long winged kit.

Well both the AZ V tail 109's and H kits are very nice and come with loads of spares. You could quite easily do a "mix and match", end up with two different models that might confuse a few and still have loads left

How would a vee tail perform at altitude?

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

I always liked the look of a V tail, but no-one can ever tell me why they don't do a Y tail instead of a V.  The lower extension would provide a place for the tail wheel as well as a lot of stability, and provide more of a nose-down attitude, improving the pilot's forward view.  I may have to do a Spit with a Y tail ...

Where am I going?  And why am I in a handbasket?

Somebody did once, with the Planet Satellite, although they didn't use the Y bit for a tailwheel. It looked terrific, but sadly wasn't strong enough and was overstressed after its first landing.

Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

That's very nice! It rather seems to me to be Italian - do you know what it was called and who made it?

British design, but I can see why you could think it was Italian. Very stylish

Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

I wouldn't mind having a crack at the 1/72 Super Frelon, seems to be over looked in my Mach2 theme builds.

Just had an idea for the Jaguar E-type fastback 2+2 coupe. Convert it into a panel van. As is the trend for small hatchbacks to become vans.

Got an idea for my 1/24 or 1/25 Batmobile from the television show.
To turn it into the Hogwartsl taxi for the stranded witch or wizard traveling alone.
By extending the wings of the Batmobile both on the fenders and at the side.

Erm, I explained all that in the text above the pic..................

The  Yak-141/41 Freestyle looks whiffable to turn it into a fighter/bomber.
The VTOL parts could be used on an F-16 or something similar.

That has a certain 'Airship Feel' to it. Perhaps it's the ultra-wide cabin, for those days anyway?
I've made something similar out of the 1/72 X/YB-35. I had to turn the build upside down as I had taken a chunk out of the floor of the fuselage. I have cut out the wheel wells and added seats. There's seating in the middle about 90 in total. I've mounted the Flying Wing in the fuselage of a Mach2 Martin SeaMaster, with a new front bit from an Airfix BAe Nimrod. I know that I should have kept the cockpit from the kit but I had fitted this with the resin Cammett BAe Nimrod AEW radome. V-tail and C-130 main landing gear. Strange combination but it works.
I'm going to have to hang this build from a beam in the ceiling as there's no where else to put it.

I quite fancy building something to beyond an inch of completion for a change. I have done two recently that have gone A over T and said fubar being something difficult to put right. I knew I should have stuck with armour  :banghead:

Yup, where "errors" don't exist; merely more or less weathering & battle damage. ;D

I seem to have accumulated a number of F-16's, so they are all going tow get some major and subtle modifications. Some are going to be delta winged as a progression of the XL version. All USMC or navy aircraft
