-OV-10 Bronco on floats, very probably in French navy colors, based in the island of Mayotte (where I spend a lot of time in the past decade, keeping me out of modeling)

Centerline float with outriggers or twin floats?

I was thinking of twin float, similar to the few historical pics I saw.
The idea is to have an aircraft able to operate both from land and sea.
Maybe with retractable landing gears in the floats like civilian Twin Otter ?
Whatever, it's important to keep the hard points free for bombs (and maybe even torpedoes)

Like this maybe ?

If I'm not building models, I'm out riding my dirtbike

Something like that, yes, but with the sponsons still on I suppose.

I think it will depends on the floats I can get. I'm thinking about the Revell Twin Otter, or maybe the Trumpeter An-2 in floatplane version.

Oh and I forget few important project:
-An updated F-8 Crusader in Hellenic Air Force markings (it's already built and paint, but I lost few parts that I have to scratch built now)
-A-7K Corsair II in modern Luftwaffe markings
-I would also love to see a French Navy V-22 Osprey, to support my French AV-8B fleet. Not sure yet if it could be in tanker variant or in AEW&C...

Coming Soon in Alternate History:
-Battlefleet Galactica
-Republic of Libertalia: a modern Pirate Story

The Boeing XB-59 bomber has caught my eye,  I'm not too sure what kits to use to build this in 1/72 scale although Anigrand does a 1/144 kit and I have seen a 1/350 3D model. Any suggestions?

A B-52 fuselage might be a good start, with the engine nacelles scratchbuild from styrene sheet as they're so boxy.

Maybe the wings from a 1/144 A-380 carved about a bit? The tail's remarkably small, so maybe the B-52 tail could be 'cut and shut' to produce it.
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

The Boeing XB-59 bomber has that  M-4 Bison look about it. Maybe a B-52 with swing wings from the Rockwell B-1B and engines mounted above the wings,  plus the B-1B tail fin.

The floatplane configuration was designed into the Bronco from the start, the sponsons were
removable and would be removed to mount the floats. Note that in the original design, and
prototypes, the sponsons had no anhedral and the wingspan was 10' shorter.

I wonder if the floats would work on the Hasegawa/Revell  Lockheed Neptune?

An OV-10's max take-off weight is 14400 lbs. A Neptune's EMPTY weight is 49900 lbs.....................  :o

Some scale o rama would be required no doubt. If you can get a set of the old Aeroclub vacuformed floats a guy might be able to make it work.

A RATO or JATO packs should provide enough power to get the Neptune into the air,  I just need to figure out why anyone would attempt to put floats on a Lockheed Neptune unless it's a private aircraft or used for surveying in remote areas.

I once saw a Canadian F-18 on floats. Nice fishing diorama too!

Not quite my point.

The OV-10's floats would need 3.5 times their volume to stop a Neptune from sinking if it had them fitted.

Maybe if the Neptune was grafted on the top of a cut down Shorts Sunderland, that would make better sense.

I have been watching Hubnut on YouTube and last year he visited New Zealand & Australia. He got to drive some very interesting cars . The Leyland cars got me thinking but trying to get hold of plastic models even toy plastic cars to whiff or real world is a bit frustrating. I think that I have a toy Austin 1300 body shell in the stash which would be the donor to the Morris Nomad. It's looking good for me to buy examples of the Airfix Triumph Herald and whiff them. Or visit the local car boot sales when they get reinstated. The one at Falmouth rugby club a great place to start.

Another idea would be if the British bought Soviet aircraft such as the Su-24 Fencer and Su-25 Frogfoot,  then developed the Su-27 and Mig-29. Sorted out the problems of the Yak-141/41. We might have got the Be-12 Mail and Tu-16 ,with the Tu-160.
I could see the Soviet Navy flying the Sea Harrier and  BAe Nimrod,  although the Avro Shackleton would look great with those red stars.
