What do you plan to build in near future?

Sticking with my themed topic of AEW & C aircraft the ZDK-03/Shaanxi KJ-200/Y-8J all based on the An-10/12 cargo aircraft.
There are 1/72 kits of the various "Cub" models at the same price as the 1/72 Lockheed C-130.
Shouldn't be that difficult to alter a C-130 into a Chinese copy. The rotor dome is more in keeping the appearance of the E-3 Sentry and a new nose to replace the standard Roman one. A pair of stabilizers fitted to the rear fuselage and either 5,6 or 7 propellers.
I 'll be referring to the book "Beyond the Horizon" by Ian Shaw with Sergio Santana.

The FlightPath Avro Lincoln B2 conversion in 1/72 scale has got me thinking of a Lincolnian cargo/transport version and an early AEW platform.
I'm also on the lookout for the Boeing B-17 airliner/cargo conversion. I can only find the Magna Models Saab Felix set either from Hannants or KingKit.
Tempted to build the Boeing PB-1W.

Nord Noratlass tilt-engines twin-boom-twin fins.
Got a box of "spares and repairs ".
With the fuselage and twin boom of the Nord , add the wings and engines from the MV-22 Osprey.

To use the turbofans from the ES-3A Viking on the Mach2 SeaMaster.

Flying gun-boat.
Using a Be-6 flying boat

V-tailed or butterfly tail fighter and bomber aircraft.
Having seen what appeared to be a Blackburn Buccaneer with a V-tail, on YouTube. A Pathe newsreel in black and white.
Which got me thinking what else apart from the real world, whiffs would look great with this type of tail. A civil airliner such as the Comet or Boeing 707.

Using the ProjectTech Profiles by Chris Gibson " The Admiralty and AEW" as a guide, BAC saw a need for a trials aircraft for the radar and looked a variety of existing types. These included the Percival Pembroke, Miles Mamba-Marathon and Handley Page Herald.
The Pembroke was chosen designated BAC.169.
There are 1/72 Pembroke kits available, the BAC.169 requires a rotodome and Lycoming PLF 1A-2 turbofans. There is a resin replacement radar nose set.
As for the Herald I haven't checked if there's a 1/72 kit but I could use a Fokker F27 instead.
The HS/Miles Mamba-Marathon might prove elusive to find.
There's a suggestion for the Gannet to be fitted with turbofan engines although the book doesn't include any line drawings for this concept. Oddly there are designs that are vaguely familiar to the twin engined AW66 who's big brother became the AW650 Argosy. Most of the other proposals have already been built by Whiffers.
The Dornier Do31 the German VTOL transport aircraft was examined as an AEW platform back in February 1965, interest came from the Germans, Sweden, Japan and India.
There's the 1/72 resin Planet Models PLT701 from Model Hobbies @ £71.73.

Something nice and simple, or at least easy to put together, after the current 3 are done. Probably Tamiya, probably real world, probably a Zero, but best laid plans

Either some armour (finishing off the HMBLT would be nice) or one of my ships/boats.

I could have sworn I posted this in here already  :-\.. Anyhow.
I have been bouncing some ideas for a W.I.G type aircraft for S.H.A.D.O. I did have a 1/72nd scale B-52 fuselage and wings knocking around but they seem to have vanished, these would have been the basis for said craft. Cut the wings down, and put a pair of large sponsons on the ends as floats, make the fuselage a bit more floaty looking, and power it with some huge turbo jets, and fans for cruising. The craft would have opening doors in the upper fuselage with a missile battery, and in the lower fuselage, either torpedo's or a submersible attack drone sub, as those pesky UFO's like going into the sea. Looking like I will have to scratch build something though as the B-52 fuselage has gone though. :banghead:

That's some hungry carpet monster you have  :o Thought mine was getting greedy when it had some tweezers I dropped the other day. When I found them I couldn't believe how far they had bounced !

New Olympic sport perhaps ? How far can your 1/72 injection canopy bounce etc

Well my six real-world models that have been stalled or partially restarted since Christmas look like remaining that way until at least the end of the 'In The Navy GB' This is so I can complete the two Bearcats and potentially build the following -

Swift FRADU I think, a much more successful Swift sees use by second-line units a la Hunter GA.11 etc

Hawk 200 If I can find the kit in my stash!  :banghead: An alternative to FRADU Hunters (sorry I've always 'liked' the dark grey FRADU Hunters  ;) )

Sea Hawk Just been bought, but I've an idea forming .....

Not sure what order they'll be built in yet :-\, but the Sea Hawk is on the starting line as I haven't put it away since buying it yet and it'd be relatively simple to build!  ;) ;D
Oh to be whiffing again :-(

Definite disqualification if you stand on it whilst searching

Are carpet monsters getting bigger ? Radiation, pollution, over feeding or selective breeding ?

Not just carpet monsters but other things too.  I had a Spitfire 22 that had got as far as paint but I wasn't happy with it, so into a container and sprayed with Mr Muscle (I've ran out of FPS) and left outside to work it's magic.  Came back a few hours later - container upside down on the concrete and the Spitfire totally missing!

Anyhoo, currently assembling 5 PR19s with another soon to join them.  There's also a pair of mk I early at a cut off the sprue stage with some 22s under consideration - the Home Bargains acquisitions already being started.

Also considering another few Tempests.

Well I know better than to ask the question of yourself about Spitfires  , but how many Tempests do you own? And are we talking Matchbox II's or two-a-penny Mk.Vs ?
