Tempests in stock?  Hmmm.  Complete or part started?

There's about half a dozen boxed MB Tempest II/VI, similar number of Heller/Smer kits.  Two Ventura Tempest I conversions, one each of the Heritage F.II and F.VI conversions.  Moulds for the Eagle engine Tempest, plus wing intakes for the F.1 and F.II/VI.  And two each of the Kora Annular radiator Tempest conversions.

I forgot the 3 Special Hobby ones, but that's deliberate as I hate it.

I don't know how many part started ones there are, but it has to be in double figures.  I can spy a MB one about three feet away that will be getting the rocket rails from the Airfix Typhoon at some point.  Central Gunnery Establishment for that one, I think.

As for Spitfires...  Well, I did consider trying to catalogue them last week, what with all the extra ones from Home Bargains, if only to try to find out just what I do have and possibly to thin out the ones I *know* that I don't want to do.  But then I thought it would be too much work - designing the catalogue form alone could be quite a task, let alone pulling the stash to bits.

I have also been 2D drawing a plan to make a "Russian" tracked missile launcher, in 1/72nd scale. Got enough tracks and wheels to do those, got some spare hatches and other bits and bobs from the spares box, and some aluminium cigar tubes for the missile tubes. Thinking of a medium range surface to surface system for the Cartel, or a shore based anti shipping system, that will have to have a radar vehicle with it too. Seen as it will be an ex soviet era vehicle, it won't have to be pretty, so should get away with making it butt ugly, and basic looking.

In the near future.......

a) Finish up my hospital ship project by October this year in time for 2 contests this Fall.
b) Get back to work on building my best friend's USS Enterprise aircraft carrier.
c) Build a 1/1 scale carpet monster diorama.
Modeling isn't just about how good the gluing or painting, etc. looks. It's also about how creative and imaginative you can be with a subject.
My modeling philosophy is: Don't build what everyone else has done. Build instead what nobody has seen or done before.

Regret my near future build will be a garden seat and Monet-style arch over it, planted with roses and clematis!  After that I might do something creative with an unfinished whiffed Strikemaster build, the BAe Tern that I started aeons ago, before I moved house.......I've finally found the box it's in!!

Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

The Kawanishi K-200 concept turbojet powered flying boat caught my eye as I have a 1/72 H8K "Emily" in the stash.
Concept artwork shows 6 turbojets, 3 mounted above each wing with a revised tail.
Weapons could be housed in under-wing pods, I've also got the Hasegawa PS/SS-1 flying boat, so I could use the pods for the build as I intend to use the Hasegawa kit for an upgrade to the US-2 in 1/72.
There is the Aoshima AOS01184 1/144 JMSDF rescue flying boat US-2 if you prefer.

McColm

Sticking with the 1/72 Hasegawa Shinmeiwa  kit and adding different wings.
Yes the Contrail Valiant B1 wings do fit. (Well the left-hand one was already built by the previous owner)
The wings from the Matchbox HP Victor work as well, (it's not a good idea to have roommates in a house share).
A new version of the Sea Victor AEW3 will have to be built. Might try a smaller scale.
Vehicle builds in 1/24 and 1/25.
Now that there is a decent priced 1/144 C-141 the AEW&C version and a tanker.
I'd like to build a couple of ships as I live close to the river Thames/Royal Greenwich. Maybe sailing ships with rigging.
In the real world paddle steamer aircraft carriers, so why not a Whaler with a catapult for launching reconnaissance aircraft or for spotting Whales.

I'm thinking of going the Luft 46 route for my 46th year. Turned 'of age' in May, so still lots of time. At least bang out the half starts.
