What do you plan to build in near future?

Having seen the 1/72 Saunders Roe Princess flying boat on eBay and the artwork,  it looks as though I could use the Academy Boeing C-97 kitbashed with the Revell Blohm & Voss BV-222.  The engines might be a problem but I can always use the ones from the C-97 and keep the original wings.

there's alot of new future building plans being made here, but i had to cut them back a bit due to recent events.

first up, is a whole lot of Area 88 themed aircraft (inspired by Strobez's builds). at least 33 models are planned in the long term and the near future, the first series is expected to begin shortly.

in 1/72, i have revived a number of older build plans, with my airbrushing skills getting better, im ready to take on some newold projects.
most obvious is my Future Belgian military themed models, with both the Army, Air Force and Navy getting new equipment, including Tiger-ARH, H135M (Air force & Navy versions), S-300 SAM systems (radar and missile trucks), Hummer (already under assembly), F-35A (realworld), A400M (realworld, both in 1/72 ad 1/144).....

of course i already have some new Luft46 builds on the go aswell
on the bench:

-all kinds of things.

Looking at sports themed projects now I that I have Chicago Cubs and Bears nail decals. The nail decals are small so they would look better on a small aircraft like a Skyhawk or an F-5.
Just received a Mistercraft SU-22M4 that will receive Polish markings. I also lately received a Tornado F3 that will be finished in Canadian markings in place of RW Hornets. That should carry me out for about two years.

The Maclaren Maverick was supposed to be a rival SSC contender but it didn't get past the mockup stage.  The engine was straight out of a Tornado keeping the afterburner in place and the body looks like a A-4 Skyhawk 'Scooter ' without the vertical tail fin and the wings.  All the wheels are covered in spats, a rummage in the spares box should supply the necessary parts.

As part  of my current  interest in  50's to 70's RAF  aircraft,  one  for the 50's  will be a Horten flying wing.  I have  the very basic  PM version  and  it will need a lot  of help to make  it something like.  Better  more modern looking landing  gears, a fuselage mounted  radar  pod, and  a pair of fireflash missiles. Not sure  whose  company wil be building and  developing said aircraft  yet, but  in my wiffverse, the British  got  to the Horten factory  before  the Americans,  and  took the prototype and the plans.

With the Citroen Centenary happening this year I thought of building three cars in 1/24 scale; the concept,  the prototype and the production car or van.

Getting rid of that DIABOLICAL nose wheel sounds like a good first step.

And Fireflashes RULE OK!
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Cheers  Robert,
If I can't  do anything with this one  I  will have a look for one,  this kit is very  basic,  mu like  their  mirage III that they  did, lt at least  gives me a  good base for  a cheap wiffed model of nothing else.  The more I look  at fireflash missiles,  the more  I  like  them. Typical  British  make them too complex  for their  own good,  and  make  people wonder  what the  hell is going on with them.  ;D

Yeah, I've got the single seat and the two seater PM kits too.

For some reason it just whispers Gloster's to me
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

That  name  has rattled around,  as I  was wondering  if the engines from the meteor  would  fit in the Horten. I  haven't  looked at the  dynamics,  but it is wiffworld after all.
