Hey peeps, Lana here!!!! This is my new project that I randomly started while waiting for the white paint to dry on my corsair, which is coming along nicely and should be finished soon hopefully.

This is me carving out the cockpit because it was old school and all flat and stuff, no room for a cockpit here so I got rid of the extremely thick plastic that was in the way, took a lot of effort...

Still hacking away... told you it took some effort.

FINALLY!! Finished carving out the gap, notice how the model sides don't even match! "Keep in mind this is a 1960's vintage Airfix kit" says Zaccy... But still that's no excuse for shoddy molding.

Hehe look at this beauty I rescued from the spares box, thought I would give it a home since Zac probably wouldn't use it any time soon.

Lana learns to putty... Quite fun isn't it? lol I can't wait to sand this baby!  ;)  hehe. Already done some sanding on the fusilage getting rid of the rivets and other lumpy bits that arent streamline enough.

And this is the messy result of a hard 2 hours work, lots of mess... Hey look! The Corsair's there too hehe.

More to come as we continue, I bet you can't guess what type this kit was SUPPOSED to be... lol  :D  :P

She is better than me! When will she do a whiff?

K5054NZ

 It is a whif! I'm surprised she didn't say as much.

I was gonna drop one hint as to what she's doing this mystery kit as, but she said "No! No hints!"

Fair 'nuf!

 Goodness, Z-man! Clevage in not one, not two, but three shots. My girlfriend wouldnt be cought dead near a model kit, let alone be photographed building one -_-  You lucky man you.

Ima take a stab... gull-wing zwilling messerschmitt?

Woo hooo way to go Lana! That sure looks like a 109 fuse to me but then again, my view was distracted by your, um, other natural talents...

Can't wait to see more!!!

P.S. I've said it before and I'll say it again, Zac is the luckiest man I know!

Yep, nice start! Glad to see a woman posting here, but beware of the photos ;)

King Arthur: Can we come up and have a look?
French Soldier: Of course not. You're English types.
King Arthur: What are you then?
French Soldier: I'm French. Why do you think I have this outrageous accent, you silly king?

Well regardless I would rather take my chance out there on the ocean, that to stay here and die on this poo-hole island spending the rest of my life talking to a gosh darn VOLLEYBALL.

You go girl!

Lana,

Good on you - looking forward to seeing the completed model (and many more thereafter).  Please ignore some of the comments from the others here - some of them need to get out more and learn to be a little more respectful when a lady is present.

Gentlemen (and I loose that term very losely), please control some of your comments - we have here Lana's very first post directly (at least that I'm aware of).  Your comments could be better.  Not trying to be a prude, but in light of the discussion regarding women and modelling (see here), this sort of reaction wouldn't exactly encourage more women to join us.

Regards,

Greg

Archibald,

Don't worry, I wasn't including you in my comments - I recognised what you were trying to say with your post.

Great start Lana! How long before we see a Lana and Zac joint effort?

Glad to see both of you posting cool stuff :)

Lana,
Glad to see your work on this forum! I admire your willingness to jump in to the world of WHIF. Keep up the good work and feel free to finish any of Zac's projects that he may have slowed on a bit. ;)

Look behind you!

Aw, lighten up, you guys ! Zac and Lana have posted photos of themselves before, and they already know we think she's a hottie !

I think what'll really tick off the Zacmeister, is that she's gonna end up buidling half of his stash !

;)

As for the kit....coming along nicely. Looking forward to more in-progress pics !
