Members of this forum are actually building a powerful fleet of odd-looking bombers.
We have a Vulcan, 2 Bombcordes (Kitnut and mine) a Jet Fortress, a cool Spanish-Iranian design for a 10-engine bomber... ok, maybe this thread is not justified in itself, but i couldn't resist!!! ^_^
King Arthur: Can we come up and have a look?
French Soldier: Of course not. You're English types.
King Arthur: What are you then?
French Soldier: I'm French. Why do you think I have this outrageous accent, you silly king?

Well regardless I would rather take my chance out there on the ocean, that to stay here and die on this poo-hole island spending the rest of my life talking to a gosh darn VOLLEYBALL.

Hmmm... An informal unintentional group build, I think we have sychronicity here!

Gettin' all cosmic.

:D   I have my black-buck b-58 hustler awating details so will be done in a day or two, a raf eb52 megafortress and with a twin tailed vulcan in the planing stage, I think a group display at least is in order.   :D
Me, I'm dishonest, and you can always trust a dishonest man to be dishonest.
Honestly, it's the honest ones you have to watch out for!!!

Archie,
Sorry. I mean't I'd managed to forget about two problematic projects that i had on the go and that  now I'll have to get back to adding another dozen engines to the virtual bomber force   :)

Then there's my RAAF B-1, Thorvics RAF B-1....

Oops, just remembered that I have a bomber on the go too, a B-70 being done in a pre-war blue-yellow scheme.

Rat-san, you mean the colourful paint scheme of the 30's ? A Walkyrie in those colors would be impressive...

Well, the colours might be impressive, but the model won't be. It's one of those in the Academy Sky Giants series, 1/700th scale, almost fits into the palm of my hand. Nice for whiffing though, if I see another on the shelves it will be bought and a 'scale-o-rama' job done to turn it into a larger scale fighter.

what an odd scale for an aircraft, even for a bigger one!!

Just love the scale-o-rama concept (I'm slowing discovering the unlimited number of whatifs it allowed...)
Hmm Walkyrie was 57 m long which gave something like 80 cm or so in 1/72 or... 8 cm in 1/700! You're right, its not much bigger than your hand  :o

Or about the size of my... never mind.  <_<

OOOPS! Just checked the box and it's really 1/300th scale. Still teensy though.
