June 30th?  Maybe...after all, it's only been a year or so since I got this far. Sigh.

Greg,

Welcome back, great to see you posting again!

I wondered what had happened to that Hind of yours - one of the best (and most complex!) paint jobs I've seen anyone attempt.  Love to see it completed.

Regards,

Greg

Thank you both, and Sir John Howling Mouse...perhaps this is the inspiration I needed to finish the damned thing.

So I got that going for me...which is nice....

Hear! Hear! Greg three cheers to you on returning to this thread and dusting this beauty off! You know we're all very excited to see you getting back to this amazing project!

I think the problem is, it's too small. You can hardly see it, and you keep forgetting about it ! That, and it must hurt your eyes to be doing all that squinting.....Now, if you had done her in 35th scale, she would have been all done long ago ! You'd keep bumping into it eberywhere you went in the house, and be forced to do a little work on it !

Anyone wanna join me in a Muffin baking class?

I (nearly) forgot how fantastic this looks.  A coworker sent me some pics of this helo with a caption from somewhere along the e-mail path about how "our boys are currently flying this special commemorative helicopter in Afghanistan."

Anyhow, I told him a fellow modeler was handpainting a model of one.  He didn't believe me.

Now, I again have proof!

Oh snot. I just read the rules, and this one won't apply, since it is a real bird. Ah well, I shall finish it anyway and post up some pics. Now I just need to find a good what-if from the stash.
 Sure have missed you fellows!

Well if you paint the seat belt buckles black rather than silver wouldn't that be a "what if" scheme?

Welcome Back Gregster!

I should inform you however that you are now no longer one of the "Sacred 5" of this website.

Gekko1 has elevated himself to this semi-deity level with his incredible Me262, meaning its now the "Sacred 6"  :P

I'm sure theres a few projects of yours that are unfinished....that diorama with the Airfix Floatplane?  Some ship-floaty type thing?  (can't remember the details as ships don't float my boat, as it were"

I would, except I hope to take this one the nationals next year...and we know what sticklers the IPMS people are.
