Okay, so for my first "zombie model", I'm going to work on my Secret Santa kit from last year, the Ye-167 "Firebat"...

... (one of the evolutionary stages between the MiG-25 "Foxbat"...

... and the MiG-31 "Firefox").

House-selling, -buying, and moving got in the way last time (as well as the realization that one shouldn't spray black paint under poor lighting conditions- I've ALMOST got all the runs sanded out...)

The other one is from the Sf-109 challenge over at the Starship Modeler site. The goal of which was to kitbash a standard Me/Bf-109 kit into a science fiction/fantasy based model that is something OTHER than a standard WWII propfighter.

Behold, the "Diamondback 109":

And this one HAS to be done by December 31!

That picture requires a double-barreled question; have you gone off your meds or gone on new ones?!  :o

    She's going to be extremely, madly, wildly, different.

And that's a good thing!

Did I mention that the "Diamondback" is going to have contra-rotating pusher UDFs?

Oh, and here's the thread on the Ye-267 (NOT Ye-167- what was I thinking!?) "Firebat" from last year:

I remember this Firebat...

...but are you finally going to take my (old) advice about cutting and turning down the wingtips into a bit of anhedral?   :o

The Firebat looks awesome ! Brutally powerful......yet unrefined ! Looking forward to seeing that one all done up. Now, get back to work !

It's not too obvious in the angle of the photo, but she DOES have two downward-angled winglets- actually, tails off of a 1/72 MiG-25 in my stash.

Just finished a kit for the SSM "Yellow" contest- I'll be restarting this one soon.

Promise.   :D

Mmmm..................Looking mean! Both of them!

I like that Diamondback - have I mentioned I've never seen UDFs in model form?

And how exactly are the builds going? I'm looking forward very much to a progress report.

Cheers,
