After the Berlin uprising in 1953, a clandestine faction, driven by patriotism, is formed inside NVA (Nationale Volks Armee). Its aim is to reject Soviet occupation. They know that need heavy armour to face Warsaw Pact armies.

For years they collect, in clandestine depots, redundant T-34 hulls. At the same time, they issue fake reports on the quick wearing of D-10TG 100mm gun, so they get excess guns as spare parts.

In secret workshops they mate the new gun with the old hull. In order to do this, they design a new turret roomy enought, which was cast in those workshops. By security reasons, numerals are deleted and only German flag appears to remark their patriotic aim.

Wow that's great, ysi! I really like the idea of the East Germans secretly stockpiling weapons to overthrow the Communists. Very plausible and a wonderful AFV!

Amazing build and idea. I like it very much

I like the concept.

Just a few questions because you have given me some ideas.

Before you can cross the bridge of death answer me these questions three

What is the scale?
Who is the manufacturer?
Where did the turret come from?

Get this Cheese to sick bay!

I'd also would be very interested to know where that turret came from

The hull is Airfix. All Airfix armor even if marked 1/72 are in fact 1/76. The gun is from Italeri's M48. The turret ...
The turret is from ROCO's HO scale (1/87) M60. :)  :)

I was inspired. My M60,M48 turrets didn't quite look the same so I had to use a Pershing Turret, mated to a T-34 body with the 100mm rifled gun from a T-55 model. viola.

Are you sure turret/gun and hull are in the same scale?

Anyway, I like your idea

Glad you showed the in-progress pic as I had presumed you just mixed and matched some kit parts (yes, your scratchbuilt parts are that good).
