This is when I started to lose my temper.  I was already riled up after walking past the QSG stand and seeing uber-JMN Terrence Marriot holding court

Then I am browsing the Air Cadets stand with the big TSR2 diorama (see below) when some donkey-wipe JMN comes up to me and snorts "They clearly don't know how to use an airbrush.  What a waste of time and money".  I just looked at him agog  :o  before he walked off chuntering to himself.  Luckily there were no young uns behind the stand to hear his ridiculous outburst

I'm aghast too, Nev! Those are some sweet TSR.2s! Thanks for posting these pics. It's great to see all those fantastic builds from the Other Side of the Pond. Makes me almost feel like I was there.

They also had this little maintainance scene going on in the hangar.

So, now my blood is starting to get up and I wander over to the Revell stand, where some ******** numpty is busy telling their reps that the FW200 they have on display has the "wrong colour engine cowls.  There is a photo of this aircraft on p.42 of Eagles Wings vol 4 blah blah blah".

By now I'm really fuming.  I think it was Chris & Steve who had to endure my chuntering back at the SIG stand.  And I was holding back (still am!).  Just typing this lot out is making me mad

Lee picked up an old, part built, second hand Airfix Sunderland for a quid.  He only wanted it for the wings.

But check out that amazing scratchbuilt interior!

Sadly, I believe the original modeller is no longer with us.

QuoteThey clearly don't know how to use an airbrush. What a waste of time and money

How would the guy have reacted if I had stared at him and asked "what is airbrush?"
Seriously, what is airbrush ?
King Arthur: Can we come up and have a look?
French Soldier: Of course not. You're English types.
King Arthur: What are you then?
French Soldier: I'm French. Why do you think I have this outrageous accent, you silly king?

Well regardless I would rather take my chance out there on the ocean, that to stay here and die on this poo-hole island spending the rest of my life talking to a gosh darn VOLLEYBALL.

Lovely models, particularly the TSR-2s...

Runway ? ...

Cool stuff  :)
Ignore the JMNs Nev they're not worth it, let them waste the next decade or so finding it out for themselves.

I really love that Sunderland, I can't decide if it should be finished for him/her or just displayed somewhere, as is, so more people can see  :)
