I had an extra Airfix Jaguar kit and and extra F-16 sheet or two from the 180FW, so why not do a little what if; in this case the US ANG has purchased or leased several squadrons of Jaguars.

Here is an F-65 Tigercat in the light/dark ghost grey scheme.  The brief backstory is that thousands were bought by the USAAF in WWII, and were so good at close air support that they were kept for years and used in Vietnam, then given to Guard units.

That particular DO-335 Pfiel is the oldest surviving kit in my collection.   It is the old Lindbergh kit, built in the Spring of 1969, painted in a non-authentic scheme with Pactra paints, IIRC.  It has survived many moves, storage for long periods, and I have had to purchase other Lindbergh kits to replace both props and the nose gear, but it is still around.

Here is another photo of it and a few more Luftwaffe aircraft, all were built in the 1969 - 70 time frame, and all survive to this day.  This photo was taken several months ago.

King Arthur: Can we come up and have a look?
French Soldier: Of course not. You're English types.
King Arthur: What are you then?
French Soldier: I'm French. Why do you think I have this outrageous accent, you silly king?

Well regardless I would rather take my chance out there on the ocean, that to stay here and die on this poo-hole island spending the rest of my life talking to a gosh darn VOLLEYBALL.
