Hum... IRIAF Mirage F1 are just not a real whatif ;)

Indeed, it seems that a number of Mirage F1 form Irak flew to Iran during Gulf War 1, and some of them were used opperationnaly with IRIAF markings...

Low Quality pictures were shot in th early 1990's, and only few informations about those Mirage are available... So, the picture could be a what-if as long as we can't be sure if the markings and scheme are accurate ;)

Here is another what if I did last year some time.....

The Northrop B-49D StratoWing.

The B-49D was a vast improvement over previous models of Stratowings. The "D" was the first Stratowing to have a "wet" wing versus bladders.  This allowed the B-49D to increase it's reange by saving weight wothout the bladders.  Most notably is that the "D" model was the first variant to carry the Hound Dog missile. This led the B-49D to be called "Elvis's" by their crews.

Another whiff on Hyperscale worth checking out is the Japanese version of the Me 163...it looks like a modern hot rod.

Yes, welcome! That B-49 looks great in operational markings.

Steve, welcome to the asylum! I really like that B-49. She looks killer in those S.A.C. markings!

I am thinking of a what the Convair XB-46 would have looked like in operational markings.  Let's say a B-46E with the SAC nuclear white paint job/Chrome Dome paint job. I really need to do something with this Anigrand kit that has been sitting unfinished for the last 6 months.

Technically that one isn't a whiff, the Japanese did get the production rights to the Me-163 and made several before the end of the war, though none achived operational status.
