From the Bid History, you can see that, once the price became elevated, the only bidders boosting the price were a few individuals with only 0 or 1 bid under their I.D.'s, anyhow.  Often a sure sign of either a scam to boost the price or ebayers setting up false accounts just to make fun of the item.
