Now, my Gannet has an Array that is self sufficient, and wich only needs to be bolted on the airplane and connected to the power supply. In this way, the Gannet "Flies" the dish in captivity, aided by the extense winglets on the dish. More on That later when i completely figure out the backstory on this.

QuoteHave you noticed in my photos that almost none of my model has decals on them? perhaps it is time to start learning to apply decals properly
Ok, instructions for decals:
Cut decal from sheet.
Put decal in clean water.
Every now and then put down a finger to see if decal will move just a little on the sheet.
When decal can slide around the paper, lift the paper onto where the decal is to be placed.
Move te paper out, while keeping the decal where it is.
Use a tissue to dry out water.
I'd make a few changes:

1. Cut decal from sheet.
2. Put decal in clean water.
3. After 3 seconds, remove decal from water. Touch the edge of the decal paper with some tissue to drain off the excess water. This prevents the decal from floating off the backing sheet.
4. Wait a few more seconds, then use a brush to check if the decal has come loose yet. If not, wait some more.
5. When decal can slide around the paper, lift the paper onto where the decal is to be placed.
6. Move te paper out, while keeping the decal where it is.
7. Use a tissue to dry out water.
8. Apply some Humbrol Decalfix (or other decal setting solution), this prevents silvering. For larger decals, you may need to apply some Decalfix to the model first, just before placing the decal.

Tant mieux! Feel the same since february of this year... registering here just save me from leaving models (and push me to imrpove some old craps i've made the years before :) )
King Arthur: Can we come up and have a look?
French Soldier: Of course not. You're English types.
King Arthur: What are you then?
French Soldier: I'm French. Why do you think I have this outrageous accent, you silly king?

Well regardless I would rather take my chance out there on the ocean, that to stay here and die on this poo-hole island spending the rest of my life talking to a gosh darn VOLLEYBALL.

QuoteThanks, Upnorth, do you think  it would be wise to mount a wheel housing  a la breget alizé on the leading edges?
I think, considering how much extra tail weight you're adding, you should put the landing gear pods on the trailing edge of the wing and have the main gear retract backward into them(A la Tupolev "Badger", "Bear", "Blinder" and "Fiddler" aircraft).

That way you can have the landing gear further back to counter the extra tail weight a bit more. I might also suggest (if you go that way) to make the main gear two wheel units, like the P-3 Orion main gear to support the extra weight during landings and on the ground in general.

How about moving the third crew position up to the front, just behind the second crew position? That way you can free up the full back end of the upper fuselage for all sorts of antenna mounting options. Personally, I thing the Gannet would look great with the same sort of radome as the Grumman E-1 Tracer had.
Yo, Upnorth, please have a look. The old Rafale exhausted it's supply of underwing fuel, and had to urgently jettison the load.....

Yes, they look like you're too close. Does your camera have a macro setting?

matrixone

Rafael,
Like Hobbes said if your camera has a macro setting you should use it and if you can, try and take a few pictures outside, I do that and always have very crisp focus in my pics even without using a tripod.

Ok., I'll check the go%&$/(m camera. Personally, i think she has it in for me (or against me, my brain's latin hemisphere is starting to mis-translate for me).
Meanwhile, gents, back to the Gannet, honest, what do you think of this arrangement?

Honestly, i think this aircraft is too small for this radar, but its still cool! Cant wait to see some more models! (swiss/venezuelan gripen, Israeli/iranian comanche, French navy skyhawk!)
