Here it is! Its teh academy 1/72 kit. Its the VERY old molding, and it looks better as F-17. This is going to be an in service F-17 (thus, not looking eactly like YF-17).

*chuckle* If you want to *really* whif it, replace the F404 nozzles with a couple RB.199 nozzles and do it in Luftwaffe markings as a fighter companion for strike Tornados.  *smile* I have heard, but haven't verified, that such a derivative was studied in Hawthorne.

This would be really a cross-over, considering that they studied a F-404 variant of the Tornado at one stage...  ^_^
King Arthur: Can we come up and have a look?
French Soldier: Of course not. You're English types.
King Arthur: What are you then?
French Soldier: I'm French. Why do you think I have this outrageous accent, you silly king?

Well regardless I would rather take my chance out there on the ocean, that to stay here and die on this poo-hole island spending the rest of my life talking to a gosh darn VOLLEYBALL.

I"ve always thought of doing the same thing, but have never dedicated a F-18 kit to it.  I'll be watching this one's progress.  Say, what operational markings due you plan on putting on it?
Man, we should have cloned twenties. Jackson wouldn't have given a poo-poo.

A F-16 operators. Danish, begian or US currently. Ive also got another of the horrible academy F-18s to be converted.

It is currently painted in same colours as the danish/US/begian F-16s.

Great! IMHO F-17 is much more elegant than F-18, which I also love
Will die without understanding this world.

Nice job I like the danish roundels ( did I mention I'm 1/4 Dane??? :D ) unfortunatly I HATE the BUG as an aircraft (I'm an Eagle & F-20 Tigershark fan ) but you built her up verry nice ;)

Now that's nice.  I like how the Compass Ghost scheme looks on it.  I've got a similar build ongoing, though I was going to go with some F-15 gear as the main struts and do away with the rough field gear (seeing as how's it's going to be USAF, and they always operate from large, cushy runways    )

Again, nice job!
I exist to pi$$ others off!!!

Technically, it's not a Bug Panzer, but a Snake!

While I'm no bugfan either, the lines of the original F-17 were more appealing to me than the F-16, hence why I've got at least 1 old F-18 thats goint to get the cobra treatment.

hey, that Viper camo scheme worked out quite well didn't it?  Looks really nice.  Can't wait to see it loaded up with weapons.
