 Congratulations! Scratchbuilding such a beauty out of plastic card is amazing...

Tophe!!!, Mi amigo!!!, i was trying to make a special tail for you, but i left it for my next build.....

Hobbes

Parts cast in white glue? Interesting idea. How does that work?

Rafael

Hola, Hobbes.
The part must be a one-sided item, such as that nozzle, that has a roundish shape, and the louver-like forms. Press it to a flattened piece of plasticine or modeling putty (reusable). There you have your negative. Then just pour your white glue, taking care not to let bubbles form. Pour until the white glue gets level with the plasticine and let dry!! (a slow process, but if you have one or two days...)

Enjoy.

Alors ça s'est du talent!!!

Congratulations my friend, that's fabulous!!!

That's incredible how your models are detailled knowing the material you use (I mean mixing plastic and cardboard in such an incredible way!!

But know, you have to admit: are you the hidden great brother of Archibald?!?

Lol! But I gave up cardboard for styren, joining JHM side!
King Arthur: Can we come up and have a look?
French Soldier: Of course not. You're English types.
King Arthur: What are you then?
French Soldier: I'm French. Why do you think I have this outrageous accent, you silly king?

Well regardless I would rather take my chance out there on the ocean, that to stay here and die on this poo-hole island spending the rest of my life talking to a gosh darn VOLLEYBALL.

wait a minut, how did you scratchbuild this thing ? I'm totally unable to scratch such a thing (complex forms). Well done!

Has anyone yet mentioned that this is porn. Aircraft porn, I mean it must be, I have serious wood! Cool story and nifty details lie the conformal wings! Love it, and the model is wonderful. For a first try at splinter, dude, you nailed it!

Glad to see another twisted mind here!
Getting back into modeling

Hi guys, hectic day at work today, but i finally am home, whif home!!!.

Yeah, i feel a brotherhood bond with that little french, my friend Archi. And Archi, i didn't leave cardboard at all, i just broadened the scope of building options, like you did with that fabuloso Vautour successor of yours (i have all the fotos, hahahaha!!!).

And Hobbes, Pollux, Rat, Gary, and Damian, im most honored to share this, my modeling adventure with you guys!!!

To sweeten the sights, i took some progress pics to show and tell...

First test, all cardboard, sitting between the candidate plastic pieces from wich i would scratch the bird. Damned hard stuff, i had to cut with the dremel, but didn't get along with the glue, so i discarded it.

Then i outlined the cardboard planform on a 0.5 plasticard sheet (i don't know yet the unit of measure), and made two exact copies wich i glued toghether, bending the whole thing to give it some thickness and create an ilussion of airfoil shape. Note the wingtip

then i took a lower f-16 fuselage and a rectangle of plasticard and wrapped the thing inside and started to work it out so i could make a continuous, semicilindrical shape with the intake and only one seam holding it all toghether. Hellish work, would have taken pictures, but i was screaming at the little devil to submit to my orders, until it did, or simply tired of breaking my b___s.

Kinda distorted, but in the end, i liked it.

Then i made the rear nozzle with a cable tip isolator, with i drilled on one end and from side to side. Then i inserted a small lenght of Q-tips tube and made the swiveling mechanism
