Yep, perfect for the Phoenix build...hauled out this kit, not touched for a year and a half. Yikes.

some serious clamping action!

Oh, I remember building this for a friend.  A nice kit in so many ways, then I got to the PSR stage around those wing grill-whatever things...

Once again, I seem to have lucked out by stumbling onto something that makes filling those fillet seams easy:
I mixed Elmer's white glue and Talcum powder 50/50, then put it back into the squeeze bottle...the talcum renders the glue into a thick paste that you can still force out of that little pointed tip easily...ran it across the seams, then smoothed out. Viola'!!!

You can PAINT said concoction?

Quick, bottle/label it and sell it for $7.00 an ounce!   ;)

Yep, it worked out beautifully...you can't sand it, but it makes a perfect smooth seam.  Give it a try! Total cost, 3 bucks for about ten years worth...
Had all of the those horrible seams filled and painted in 2 hours. It would have taken about ten with glazing putty.  I've been wracking my brain for years now about trying to find a nontoxic, smooth filler...this one just popped into my head this morning around 3 a.m., and I wrote it down on my little idea book I keep by the nightstand.  I'm sure some of you have already used this formula, but it was a new one for me.

Well, since Ivanova was going to be the pilot, I felt some "enhancements" were needed on the chest of the seated pilot figure:

I've seen Ivanovas upper and lower halves* and they are much more 'curvy' than that !!!!!!!

I built it quite some time ago and it is a chore. The fit on mine was very dodgy and it nearly got thrown against the wall a couple of times.

Looking good mate!
Get this Cheese to sick bay!
